That gift from God really defines your purpose in life😊

I truly believe that God has given each of us a special gift, and He places it in our hearts. 2007: Passionate about healthcare, I graduated BS Nursing and became an RN but because of the oversupply of nurses in the Philippines way back then , I shifted my career path to the banking industry (instead of working in a call center😊). I worked as a teller/new accounts for about five years. 2012: But deep inside, there was always this strong voice pulling me toward the medical field, so I finally decided to listen. I gained courage to leave my well-paying job (which offered a comfortable, air-conditioned workplace and great colleagues) to pursue my passion for healthcare. 2013: Using all my savings, I enrolled in a training course to become an EMT/Paramedic and then volunteered at a rescue unit for more than a year (no pay, no compensation, just “thank you” sometimes - but full of fullfilment and satisfaction). 2015: An unexpected opportunity opened up. Overseas job with good pay. I grabbed it, prayed, got lucky, and found success and fulfillment in my new career. This journey brought me here in the UAE, where I have been living and working ever since (almost a decade😂😮) …and for me, that gift is to serve in the healthcare field. Truly inspiring, “Focus on what you love doing, and the rest will follow… money will come!” I started my RUclips channel not with the intention of earning money, but as a way to express my creativity. As a musician with an interest in photography and videography(same as Jruzz😊), I wanted to share my passions in my own unique way. I focused on creating content, always doing my best with each video I uploaded, and continuously striving to improve in every aspect I could. Unexpectedly, opportunities began to arise-such as the RUclips Partner Program and sponsorships-and people started to appreciate my work, which further fueled my drive to create. While I’m still in the process of improvement, I’m proud to say that the rewards I’ve received, somehow, have helped me support my daughter’s education. Indeed, focusing on what you love truly does lead to unexpected rewards.👊🏻😎

Thank you very much for this very inspirational episode! Your words resonate not just my experiences from the past, but also what my journey is today. I am also an OFW since 2018 here in Dubai who had sky-high dreams, but was slapped by reality in the face. I was then a graduate of Architecture in the Philippines who was looking for "greener pasture" here, but unfortunately was earning very little, especially during the pandemic. But just like what you said in this video, a goal without a plan is just a dream, so I kept pushing forward, kept the positive energy attitude, and focused and invested on my growth, and I finally got my Architect license in 2019 and was hired in a decent company in 2022. Now is a different journey as I am now a family man. They're back in our country and homesickness sure is difficult, but that only serves as more inspiration for me to provide my family esp. my kid a better future. I am also an artist and a photographer trying to grow in my craft, and my goal is that I hope it will also inspire others to pursue their dreams. I would also like to point out some key takeaways from this vid that I haven't mentioned: - Love your craft and it will love you back one way or the other. - Networking is key + it is a skill - It is really important to surround yourself with good and positive people because they're a big factor on your success (or failure, if it comes to worst). - Ignoring the background noise (it's called "noise" for a reason). Some people just don't like to see others happy and successful, and they're not worth your time. - Being nice to the authorities and doing things legally takes you further in life. - Being a good friend/person inspires others to be good too. - Discovering your purpose in life, or "ikigai", and using it not just to improve yourself, family and community, but also using it to enjoy life to the fullest. Even though you had doubts during your career you pushed through them, learning how to set goals which is something I really wanna learn as well cause it would be helpful in my life and always supporting others in the same field is something would be tough especially when you don't believe in yourself but you still did.

Hey bro! Great podcast. I personally struggle with this a lot. It's so difficult to shoot for passion. However, the education needs to be both ways. There is currently no centralized or a well known hobbyist photographer association that can act as a responsible voice for advocating photographer's issues. Such an association should also engage hobbyist photographers to educate them on issues that are important to the authorities. Most importantly, it should be free of cost unlike everything else that costs 299. On the Why: it is important to have a free mindset towards hobbyist photographers because photography is perhaps the first step in the career of many artists due to the low barrier of entry. I'm sure each one of us started photography as a hobby that ultimately led to professional work. More institutions like Jameel Arts Center and property developers like Meraas need to be engaged at the management level to change the attitude.

Great topic ! I am a hobby timelapse photographer. I experienced this just last weekend on Palm Jumeirah. I was taking a Timelapse of Burj Al Arab with Burj Khalifa in the background during early morning. I managed to get the images I intended for , however just before leaving I was taking a few test shots when security arrived and told I wasn’t allowed to take photos. I asked where can I find these rules they were stating but they couldn’t produce anything. Even the sign board we were standing next to showed all the allowed and not allowed activities and photography was not shown as not allowed. They informed I must contact Nahkeel Customer Service and request a permit. I asked him whether he ever finds anyone he stops with said permit and he confirmed he does , so it seems possible. I contacted nahkeel and waiting for a response . He was at least polite about it.

I would have loved to join the podcast to express our frustrations and rant along. One of the very reasons why I decided to just stop photography because it just gets too discouraging to be able to freely be creative outside.

This episode answer almost everything to me and i believe to everyone as well.. to the point and too influential 🙌🙌
