No you don't need the Red chestnut Arabian. This horse get so scared even from snakes all the time and throwing you down easily. 1 more horse that i really dislike is the Dark Bay Turkoman. This horse complains all the time and i mean ALL THE TIME to the point where it becomes very annoying.

Like others mentioned before, the stats are fake, except if using mods maybe. Under NO circumstances you should kill one of these racers on the first encounter, cause winning the first race increases your bonding speed and winning the second race vs. the SAME NPC gives you a permanent +1 speed for all your horses. So don't be greedy killing/robbing these folks after the 1st race yet. Don' t even scare them off, or the second encounter will probably never happen. If possible never decline the races or leave them with no response, the encounters will get more rare when proceeding the game. SPOILER: The wealthy old guy riding the white Nokota will shoot his horse after the second lost race. If you know it & draw quick, you should be able to save and use that horse. If you managed to win two races vs. another racer NPC yet, meaning you earned all the buffs already, you can punish the old guy after the first race, when he punches his horses face for losing the race.
