Too many excuses. Have some volunteer refs. Gets some puggs and play. That's what africans do
I think it's best to lower the costs. Get rid of the overhead. This isn't the pros. If Brazilians can play in the street for free, then you can figure it out. You just need some grass and a couple goals and you got a game. You don't need kits. Just wear a black or white shirt.
It’s all supply and demand. Like the guy here said, he pays £97 to go and watch an Arsenal game. For £97 i am sure he get a season ticket at a local club and help support them. Everyone buys into the big clubs, paying astronomical ticket prices, buying the merchandise and sky subscriptions. If people started to follow their local clubs instead, their might be a future for grassroots football. Otherwise the only future i can see will be club academy’s swallowing up all local talents, sucking them dry and spitting the majority out who don’t ‘make it’ and killing their spirit in the mean time.
New perspective . Begs the question of who will scout them
I played for many years in the Bournemouth Leagues for Dean Court Supporters FC, that was twenty years ago. I now live abroad so it was nice to see this video . Even twenty years ago the facilities were bad and saddens me that even twenty years later no investment has been made - especially after the success of AFCB. Interestingly , from playing local league football it gave me an opportunity and an interest to get into coaching and I did my FA Licence and ended up working and coaching in the USA for a number of years. Really good and interesting video, thanks for uploading .
