Do I need to download warzone to play MW2? I plan on only playing MW2's campaign and not warzone.

In the last two weeks ive had to install an update of over 150 GBS which took a whole damn week and then after it throws another 1 GB update which took and hour and after that another full week of instaling 2 fucking campaign packs and i still can't play the campaign. I don't have that good of WiFi so i have a 12am to 7am window, i don't want to give up on it cause i love call of duty games but if this is the future of gaming then fuck it cause this is bullshit. We are on a ps5 now its supposed to be a step up from the old consoles like 360 and ps3 but i would muxh prefer them now cause at least back then you didn't need internet unless you wanted to play Xbox live or playstation live.
