I noticed something about the way the tire shop mounted your tires. The yellow / red dot on the sidewall is the lightest point on the tire and is supposed to be mounted right next to and in line with the air valve as that will be the heaviest point on the rim. This makes it possible to effectively balance the tire / wheel. The other method I've seen with these balancers is to not mount the tire weights directly across from the heaviest part, but to instead place weights in 2 spots across from it to form a Y or triangle shape. This is because placing all the weight in 1 spot creates 2 heavy spots but the y / triangle will result in a much smoother ride. Most tire shops don't do it that way, but that's the way it was done in the past.

Simple KPH --->>> MPH Multiply KM (140) X 0.6 to get MPH = 84mph >>>> OR <<<< Divide KMH in half, then add 10% to get a quick, easy conversion to MPH. 100 kmh divided by 2 = 50 + 10% of 100 = 60 mph 80 kmh div by 2 = 40 + 10% of 80 = 48 mph 60 kmh div by 2 = 30 + 10% of 60 = 36 mph And so on ...

How is it holding up so far? I bought to work under my tacoma i home it will hold up

The level of the base doesn't matter. People don't seem to understand how these things are supposed to work. The point on the pin is not supposed to contact the bottom of the hole. A little bit of light grease on the pin should work just fine.

Why didbyou make the laser wiring so complex? Just use a battery operated laser.

Laser is extremely slick. The taller the ceiling, the more accurate the balance.

Thanks for your video. I have a 2002 Chrysler 300M car and the display would go off intermittently. I had tried several attempts at soldering components but nothing worked. This time I soldered these three resistors and it is working fine now. 😀

Seems like you could do the same thing by placing a mirror (front-surface-reflecting if you want to get super precise) on top of the bubble, then mount a laser to the ceiling pointing at the mirror. It'll reflect back up to a point somewhere beside the laser on the ceiling depending on it's offset but will still move around as the tire's balance-point changes. Just make sure that the plane of the mirror is perfectly perpendicular to the vertical axis of the balancer's hub.

I took both doorknobs off, the inside of the latch mechanism fell out. Nothing left but the latch that won’t budge, so I can’t open my front door. HELP!

I just bought one of the red ones with that same sticker on it from amazon a few weeks ago. The offshore people must have gotten tired of people whining about these things being junk out of the box because the one I bought will wobble for a week with no mods. The pin and socket are corrected for proper functions. Now I'm going to find your laser video. Sounds cool!

I have about 300 NEW LG and Panasonics here and about 150 used of the same and had just thrown out like 9 of them for being ZERO responces. Damn to late now. But good to know in the futurte. I have an issue where when i unlock the door with the key, the key turns all the way (almost complete circle) and when this happens it mis-aligns the interior lock knob. Is this something wrong with the latch itself that I could replace just that, or something internal in the lock mechanism?

The harbor freight balancer is a piece of junk without this video modification. Can't believe they manufacture and sell it as it is.

You are wrong about the drilling out the hole. Mine was bought about the same time as yours and it was made of steel and if you don’t get the hole drilled out in the first time you probably won’t get any farther than that because you have hardened the metal and you will just burn up the drill bits , I know for sure because it happened to me so you have to change the pin on the shaft And it can’t be a point , it has to rounded over because the spot you tried to drill was almost flat.
