Given they wanted the series to be “grittier” like the manga, it’s not surprising that they’d throw sprinkles of death in with life. I feel like in America death is a taboo subject that grows more terrifying the more we neglect it- the ultimate, permanent way out, always viewed with finality and a grim, hollow spirit. In some ways, this is true. There is no coming back to life, and even with religious beliefs, we will never know what happens after death until we get there. But in doing this, we fail to allow ourselves to celebrate the good-natured part of death. Death isn’t just an opportunity for celebration and honoring of the life that was lived, it is our chance to return to the earth that once nurtured us and nurture it back. Pokémon Emerald helped me once with the loss of my cat I had years later. There was a trainer named Isis who traded her Meowth to me the player, and the name of my cat who had passed away was Isis, named after the Egyptian goddess with the same name. It was the perfect trade for me.

I still think Gen 5 deals with it a little better than the previous gens. You see, celestial tower is a lonely cemitery, and inside of it's all pale white and gruesome. But as you ascend inside of it, climbing the stairs could be an analogy to the ascencion of soul, leaving their terrestrial life and finally achieving their goal, which is eternal rest, which it is represented by the bell on the top. The sound of the ringing not only brings peace for the dead souls but also represents a chime of success, where the fallen ones finally completed it this journey and can go to the afterlife. All that "gruesome" of the place fades away once you get the roof, quite a contrast. Good video!

Quick question about Scarlet and Violet. Is it common to find ancient form Pokémon outside of Area Zero? Because the other day, I got an Armored Tusk or whatever ancient Donphan is, while messing around in the desert. I thought it was kinda weird, because I hadn’t seen any other ancients outside of Area Zero???

Lavender Town got an added layer for me personally as a child. As a toddler, I was already losing close loved ones and beloved pets. I probably knew more about death than most kids my age when I got to elementary in 1997. So I wasn’t really creeped out or scared by the Pokémon Tower on the Gen 1 games, just a bit sad for the Trainers who said they lost their Pokémon as well as for poor Cubone, who lost its mother. Nothing more or less… Until I was on my way to Saffron and Celadon. That was when I made a big mistake and I can explain how I did it but not how it happened, if that makes any sense. I got in a battle with a Trainer that had a Koffing on his team, near an entrance to the underground bike path and instead of using my starter only like most kids will, I used a Jigglypuff that I was super proud of, that I got from Mt. Moon a few days prior. I had spent a lot of time leveling it up and it was actually replacing my starter as my new favorite. It took a lot of damage in that battle and got poisoned. I didn’t think anything of it after winning the battle and just started trying to head to the nearest Pokémon Center. But I didn’t know the map that well yet, so finding one was taking me forever. When I had just reached the edge of Celadon, my Jigglypuff had been fainted for a while. I recognized the path into the city and started to head in, when I was stopped by a message that popped up on the bottom of my screen. It said that my Jigglypuff’s soul had departed for the Pokémon Tower and immediately understanding what that meant and with tears forming in my eyes, I checked my team. No Jigglypuff. I went to the Pokémon Center and checked the PC. No Jigglypuff. This is NOT. A creepypasta or scary story, this actually happened to me on Christmas Day in 1999 when I was seven years old. Plus, I’m still here, alive and well. So this is no horror story. I was really heartbroken… Jigglypuff had been my favorite in the anime as a little girl and it had been so hard to find one for me in game… I was so disappointed. I also went back to the Tower to see if anything had been added for my Jigglypuff but nothing had changed, so I knew it was a bad glitch pretty quickly. That is what happened but how it happened is still a mystery to me. I don’t have my original cartridges anymore, so I am not sure I can duplicate the glitch, everyone always assumes I’m lying and tells me that glitch never existed and no one has ever attempted to repeat what I did until hitting the glitch that I am aware of.

I think it's neat to see the gravesites in the pokemon world. As grim as death is, it's good to know where they go when they die. It gives us comfort to know that the dead no longer have to suffer, and can rest peacefully. Some rest more peacefully than others, but peacefully nonetheless. I just pray for the ghost type pokemon and ghostly trainers that lost their lives, that them and their families can find comfort, and recover from their grief eventually (if ever). Also, I think it's neat that Vulpix and Ninetails, along with chimecho hang out near Mt. Pyre. It's a very spooky location. 😱😬😖🥶👻🕯️🪦⚰️💐🕊️🌹🦊🎐🦝🌸⛰️🌄🏞️🌳🌲🌱🍃🍁🍂🌾

i like resouce gathering games its like when i go outside to try and fit as many rocks in my pocket before my mom yells at me for sneaking rocks in the house and making messes and then i have to put them back where i found them but i forgot where i found them cause my step brother showed me how and i dont know what rocks are or what they look like so i just burry them in my yard instead then my dad goes to mow the lawn and he finds the rocks and me and my step brother get in trouble for hiding the rocks even though it wasnt my idea in the first place

I never beat this hack because I couldn't figure out the baton pass puzzle. Basically the best thing I could come up with was chucking rocks at the ninjask hoping that killing it would open the way, then gave up when that didn't work. I never thought to check the escape orb description because I figured I know what an escape orb does already.
