I loved the day I spent on Enoshima. There were lots of cats peacefully resting by the roads, knowing nobody would bother them.
Aww you're so lucky! We did not encounter any stray cats the whole of our Japan trip, just people walking their dogs 😢

After I bought the deer biscuits, I was mobbed by a group of deer. One bit me on the stomach, but I think he was just trying to pull my shirt to get my attention. He let go as soon as he realized he had gotten flesh. I had an adorable deer mouth-shaped bruised on my stomach for the rest of the week.
They'll do anything for the biscuits! It was cute and terrifying at the same time for us because coincidentally its their mating month so they're a bit aggressive 😨
