Jodeci was just on some other level. They hit the soul to the extreme when their music plays. I have a huge love for them in regards to my jr high & hs yrs...& in showing the world how good music can actually be. The angelic high & low vocals from 1 set of brothers, along with the other set of brothers filling in every possible area to make it all work organically. (Devante was such a rare specimen by having the ear, knowledge, & Prince type of talent that young...with Dalvin adding his background vocals & smooth flow to the team) They were blessed by God & we were blessed by their talents fs. Its tough bcuz once we get off track in life, is when we start to accidentally deny certain blessings. Lets stay on track. God bless🙏

It's gonna be hard to even get close to Jodeci because there aren't any producers that match DeVanté. There aren't any producers that play every instrument to get the sound that is needed, the songwriting aint the same, harmonies are gone and on top of that you can't even follow K-CI and JoJo as a duet....you can't top Jodeci. Period. You can't. It is what it is.

Wonder what was wrong devante mentally back then,because he said himself that “I didn’t like the song Get On Up because it sounded too happy to me”......Even now,like you rarely physically see him out and about......it’s like he’s paranoid
I think he just prefers to be on the low radar. Alot of artists do. They just enjoy the work and not too much about the fame. Plus after the incident he's changed mentally but who wouldn't. He almost lost his life. As long as he's alive and well , im good.
Devante and Dalvin have 2 different personalities. Dalvin is more outgoing and in public. Devante is more private and dark. I mean dark he’s not in the public eye. Remember he wrote Most of Jodeci lyrics so to me he holds a lot of feelings inside towards women and expresses them through music. Devante does his own thing he ran away at 16 to join prince so this dude does what he wants and gives no fucks.
