The Angel's still play here in Australia. They put on a great show
@@itsallthingsdrums I know i tell everyone I'm. Like a broken record over here in Washington state America.Talk angels constantly . My dad saw them. In Oregon back in late 80 he believes he's just out of view in crowd on the night attack ( @angel city USA) NA album. My fav band sisce age 17 a timeless band,PURE ROCK!!!! Keep. The drum cover coming ill. Share far wide.also I'm continuing the legend of riff rock .check my channel,my guitar work is there 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼💯
@@itsallthingsdrums my dad believes he's just out of frame(in) from photo on album night attack .. He said they had a climbing 🧗♂️ Wall that Doc used onstage here in PNW.. Awesome.. He also wore the orange jumpsuit here
@@joshmalcom89 Mate, your Dad definitely saw them at a great time. I have seen seen them live early in their career in our pubs and a few times after the release of the No Exit album. I would love to have seen them in USA. I remember there was a few magazine articles here about them first going to there and having to use the name Angel City in the USA. Hope to do some more videos later this year.
Hello again😂. Have you any further instructions on this video. Need the rest of your sequences if possible. Or email address?? Thx
Hello. What info are you needing, mate? Happy to try and clarify what I can.
Hi Bob. Thanks again for replying! I've gone through the TD30 manual and Studio One 6 videos. Where I'm lost is Studio One DAW video says to run lines into the Audio Interface inserts and run USB to the laptop etc. Then set up (in the DAW) a keyboard and an instrument together for external devices. Plus shut off the Controller (as does the Manual). It appears you run direct audio from the TD module to a mixer, then where? I'm also lost in understanding whether you can play the TD30 with its own sounds, and record to separate tracks at the same time with everything connected? Earl
I do have the midi out and all the TD30 direct outs connected to my USB interface. My USB interface is connected to my PC via a USB cable. I had to set my DAW (Cakewalk) in the settings to recognise the interface. From there, I set up individuals recording sessions by assigning individual channels/tracks to each drum (ie each direct out) and to my MIDI output assignments. Recording each TD30 direct output does give the ability to record the sounds from the TD30. You are right, I should do a video on recording individual TD30 outputs. I will get on to that in over the next few months. Sorry to say, I am currently not able to do videos with moving. Will definitely let you know when I do do that though. I do not know the Studio One DAW, but I should imagine that they will have a preference setting page where you can set your recording preferences. Hope this helps mate. I will get that video done soon.
Hi from Canada! Bob, thx immensely. I'm finally learning to record myself and finding instruction for the same kit is fantastic. P.S, thx for going slow😅
Glad it was helpful!
This was helpful, but the annoying music was unnecessary.
I didn't know they had a battery.ive got a problematic dtx700, ill check for a battery
thanks a lot but is it possible to map MIDI CC to sound parametters like decay, filters etc ?
Good question. To be honest, I don't know. I think it probably isn't as midi is only recording the trigger that was hit and the velocity of the hit. You could add it later with something like Steve Slate possibly.. I tend to mostly use the audio recording using g the TD's direct audio out channels.
Im mixed between mapex saturn or spend half for a pdp.
I haven't had the opportunity to have played the latest mapex. They look nice though. For my part, I was just so impressed with the PDP when I git play o e as backline hire. A few years on now, I still really like my PDP. Although, the kick drum does move a little.
I'm watching this cause I've heard some horror stories on the condition these showed up in, as well as the mapex (though that was the armory I was looking into.) One guy had essentially a whole book written about dented and dinged bearing edges, bent hoops, and loose tensioning hardware. Of course, that could be the rare case, but after doing a bit of research, I'm leaning toward the tama Superstar Classic.
You will go well mate. Thx for watching
Thanks...I cant save My Self Made Drumkits with empty Battery...I will change it...I think it will work. =)
Sonar is sound navigation and ranging. SONOR are the greatest drumkits ever made. Its important to use correct terminology.
Thanks for your comment. Must be my accent.. If it bothers you that my pronunciation is different to yours, please do not watch my videos....I can only talk as I talk. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video
Great idea. Thanks for sharing

Excellent, jolly good show. You the man.
Thank you kindly
Very helpful. Thank you
Cheers mate 👍
So, does the unit not work at all if the battery is dead/bad?
To be honest, I don't know. The unit was given to replace the battery. They didn't mention anything about the effect on the kit beforehand.
It will but it will not save custom kits or variations. Only factory kits.
Thank you kind sir! Very helpful!💯👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great job man! Nice drumming performance🤘🤘
Thanks mate. Definitely just a fun track 😀
Definitely a unique cover 😆 I can dig it
Yeah, definitely just a fun track.
I have the same kit, bought it from a private party. Same finish! It is a great kit. I wanted something cheaper than my GMS custom kit for playing dive bars, and this thing does not disappoint!
Good point.....would be a house kit I would be happy to play. 😀
Just picked up this kit for $350 at Sam Ash in Nashville - traded in a Roland Vdrums kit. I know they're a bit older - were these kits mid-range when they were new? Not a lot of info on them. Thanks for the review.
Yeah, they were mid range in their day. Great score, you will love them. They sit solid and tune very easily. Enjoy them mate 😉
I have the same finish on my 3001,only there maple! 8,10,12,13,14 Tom's, 20 x16 kick, 14x5.5 and 13x4 snares. Great kit from jazz to rock👍
They truly are a great sounding kit. I believe they were very underrated. Thank you for sharing
Can you change a light 💡
Peter never played in platform shoes, neither did Eric Carr, and Eric Singer can wear whatever he wants
Peter if he wore platform and tube shoes at his beginnings problems with his back
Just problems doing 8ths on his bass drum 👢
All those years of practice paying off 🎉 sounding good mate!!
Yeah, this one was definitely just fun🎉

thanks for the video. Very informative.
Glad you found it useful. Thank you
Cool man
Eric is wearing Paul's Signature Puma's 😆
I also used to think Peter played with his platform but he didn't. why should Eric???
When I was a kid I tried playing in platform shoes, I just couldn't do it😆
@@itsallthingsdrums 🤣 At least Eric puts his platforms on, when they bow at the end of the show!
I know, but how does he do that? I am thinking that they maybe slip-ons. like a comfortable slipper lol.
@@itsallthingsdrums I looked for videos on their recent tours and you are correct!!!... they are some sort of slip ons!! Lol!!!

Cool review
Thank you
Was there. Loved every stroke of it.
Even their entry level kits are excellent.
I’m pleasantly surprised on how great my 3001 kit sounds micd up and how it performs at the gigs I’ve used it on. I’ve had sound guys go out of their way to compliment this kit. This makes no sense since I bought this for $350 at Guitar Center and it’s basswood. I’ve owned many kits, $4000 DW kits, Yamaha Maple Custom, and many others along the way. I’m really perplexed by this kit…..maybe this is a higher grade basswood?
Totally agree. I have used mine in live gigs and found sound checks with this kit were quicker than some backline kits I have used. In my reading there were a few comments about the density of basswood being better. I don't fully understand why this timber never really took off for drum shells.
@@itsallthingsdrumswell I found some old brochures and the 2001 and 3001 are Maple and Basswood. So now it makes more sense why these drums sound so good!
@@elitedrumlessons6174 you have done well. I honestly found it near impossible to find much at all. Is the laquar finish maple/basswood?
@@itsallthingsdrums 95% sure it’s the outer layer.
@@elitedrumlessons6174 funny hey, drum manufacturers would ordinarily shout from the roof ftops that a sell has maple. The poor old force 3001 just didn't seem to get the marketing and recognition that it deserves. It truly is a well built and great sounding kit. 😀
Hey there, mine is laquer finish too - piano black. Maybe it was different in different countries. Here in Germany it was laquer i think... All the best!
Thank you for letting us know about that. It is a good drum kit.
@@itsallthingsdrums 👍🏼
Hey mate, i found best solution is ‘spit’ on palms.. after a few bars you’re ready to go. Hi from Adelaide.
Lol, my first thought.....isn't that more slippery. Anyways, will give it a go at rehearsal.
Ha.. not so much slippery but certainly moist.. plus, if you’re sharing a gig with other bands, the other drummers tend to leave your stuff alone..
@@waltonbrown that is good advice
Great video and good explained! I'm happy with my gloves! Did you test gloves? For me it works great!
Hey thank you. Nah, I had put the gloves on backstage, sat around overthinking it and took them off. They were just too small I think. I am thinking about trying fingerless ones next time. You are right, there are many great drummers who use them.
Rockin brother 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Just saw that we are both part of the blindfolded video from mike few. Great job! Cool to see! Sounds great! Just subbed! 🥁👌👍
Thanks man. Loving your work on your channel!!
Good job my friend! Something like this shows how well we know our kits lol. And how much time we get to spend behind our kits.
Thanks Clay. Yeah, I was surprised at how my arm and hand knew where things were .😉
