As an atheist myself, I do not think any god that has been defined and presented to me is even possible, most if not all of the definitions that I have been presented with are internally inconsistent, full of nonsense or are mostly improbable, thus I am justified in rejecting them all until such a time as where good evidence is provided. This video did not change that.

Firstoff, you don't choose what you believe in, you are either convinced of something or you are not (to various degrees). As to your proposition, if God does indeed exist, I most certainly would want to know, because it is important to me that my views, opinion and beliefs are as close to reality as possible. But to put it in perspective, I've been having conversations with all manner of theists and been checking out evidences and arguments for the existence of (any) God for over 25 years now. And despite genuinely trying to approach the matter as thorough, unbiased, neutral and open-minded as I can, I haven't found anything that could convince me it is indeed more likely (a) God exists. In fact, if anything, the more I learned and really thought about it, the more unlikely I think the concept of an existing God is.

100% certainty is not something that is available to us. If you need me to explain why, I am happy to. I don’t think people choose their beliefs, they become convinced of propositions. When you attempt to characterise it as such, it looks to the observer that you are devaluing their conclusion.

Very enlightening! Never thought of Jesus and even Moses, and all other prophets going up the mountains as a way of disciplining their bodies physically to sustain the spirit. Also, Thank you for explaining 1 Corinthians 6:20 as a scriptural reference for us to glorify God with our bodies as in living a healthy life physically to create space for the Holy Spirit. I hate this Gnostic-like thinking. I am linear, and I don't mean to be that way. It is who I have been for 46 years, and I come by it naturally. I'm cause and effect, and this willing stuff to happen annoys me. I've played the game of willing things to happen and found out I can do it without Jesus, so what does that tell you? I want Jesus to be involved, but I shouldn't have to treat Jesus like he's some Gnostic secret.

This is the truth! God did this for me in my life. I had my LPN for 8 years always planning to go back to school for my RN but never succeeding. I was miserable working in nursing homes. I found Jesus after getting arrested and losing my license for a year, then He lead me to home health care which I loved as I leaned on Him every step of the way and was able to bring Jesus into my patient’s homes, then He lead me to going back to school for my RN now. He is my redeemer❤
