Not the same mechanics. Freeze frame on the front foot landing/back foot releasing (at this position you see that Degromm has a gap between his legs whereas Pedro doesn’t). They both do a great job building pressure through the ground but Pedro does a much better job of releasing that pressure. His inability to properly execute the release of said pressure is the driving reason why Degromm has had arm issues and Pedro did not.
