Did the textreme tweeter make a big improvement?
@@naters83 yes it did. More than l've expected. So much more clarity and details, without being bright and harsh.
@@larsrudehov5876 I don't see this design on the troels website?
Hello friend, your tower is spectacular, where can I find this project?
Thank you 😊 Here is some info about my build. But l’ve upgraded the tweeters and crossovers through the years. www.troelsgravesen.dk/SBA-741_Lars.htm Kind regards Lars
@@larsrudehov5876 Hello Lars 🎶, forgive me for bothering you with such a long text. You know that the designer avoids this type of question that I am going to ask you. For a long time I was convinced to buy The Loudspeaker-3, but now that I have seen your video I am no longer sure of anything. I have no problem with space, my living room is 47m² and I no longer have a wife. Without getting carried away by emotion, I ask: Which system do you recommend? Unfortunately, no matter how well recorded it is, RUclips does not allow you to enjoy the real sound. Best regards.🎶
@@silvionovais2504 No problem. I would build this ones if l was about to build a new high end speaker. www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/audimax_tl_283_en.htm They are amazing. I know one that have built them.
@@silvionovais2504 My videos here is recorded with iphone 12 pro max.
@@larsrudehov5876 This phenomenon reinforces the thesis that every rule has an exception. The 12 Pro Max is not a common cell phone. I'm looking for a video of that box you showed me. The Audimax -TL 28.3 but I can't find it. I won't have the financial resources to try a second time, hence the fear, so I need to get it right the first time. The manufacturer says it is a TL. This speaker system produces a strange bass to my ears, like a breath, I don't like that type of bass. However, I appreciate your kindness in helping me. What do you think of the SBA 941 or The Loudspeaker-3?
Nice system indeed Congratulations Have you tried the Rauna with the two subs ? that combination could sound very good and full range Actually it is my favorite approach to full range speaker Sats above subs I guess the Tyr should be excellent from 150Hz up
@@gino3286 Thank you. Yes l’ve tried with two sealed 12” subs, and that is really nice. In this video they plays without subs. But l can promise you that my Rotel Michi S5 gives them the power they need 🙂
@@larsrudehov5876 hi you are welcome I look for info about Rauna speakers having followed a discussion on speaker cabinet design and construction A guy was mentioning the concrete cabinet of the Rauna as a great example of good cabinet Then i read about their extremly clear sound It seems tha cabinets have a huge impact on speakers performance Akey feature is stiffness then mass But stiffness is more important because it does not absorb the energy from the drivers Metal cabinets are also very good indeed but very expensive as well
@@gino3286 When Raunas founder died, two brothers in my hometown baught the company. And now l work part time at their Hifi-shop. It’s a small world. Now we have four new models. Vidar, Vale, Valhalla and Oden. Really amazing speakers that have very few speakers in their price range can compete with. The density, weight and shape of this Rauna makes as you say optimal environment for the drivers to do what they are supposed to do. My old Tyr in this video is untouched, and was manufactured 1983.
@@larsrudehov5876 very interesting indeed they deserve success Thank you very much again Kind regards gino
Nice choice of song, it doesn’t matter by alisson krauss and union station
A bit too bright up top but good
Well… You do realize that this videos is recorde with a simple phone? So it is impossible to come close to the reality.
@@larsrudehov5876 Try a stereo mic if you can. Alpha audio is a good reference point they have awesome sound demos.
Absolutely not! Apart from some quick booming very low (which does not interfere with mids and highs at all), everything sounds perfect!
@@fullranger3435 Yes a phone can’t really reproduce the reality. And who knows What stereo/speakers this smood47 are listenig to….
@@larsrudehov5876 Audiophiles can tell by experience, when a system delivers. Even with lesser recordings. Yours is good, by the way.
Nice!
Thank you 😊
Nice job ,congratulation !
Thank you ☺️
What speakers are they?
The little white Rauna Tyr.
Magnificent. One question... How do you capture the audio in the video? Is it with a professional and/or special microphone? And when uploading the video to RUclips, what specification and/or resolution is the audio configured in? Do you upload the audio to RUclips in “Wave” or “FLAC”?
Thank you 😊 No professional microphone or so. It’s just my iPhone 12 pro max hold in my hand. Sounds quite good, but much better in reality.
Здравствуйте. Дадите схему кроссовера?😁
In this demo are running the 741s alone or with subs and center?
Hi Just the 741 with the built in bottom sub, no extra subs or center.
And on this video they plays with the bottom sealed.
@@larsrudehov5876 Absolutely stunning. I am considering building a Troels design just not sure which one yet.
Check my other videos. Now they are upgraded with SB Acoustics TeXtreme tweeter. I’ve also renovated the entire room. Extra layer on the floor, acoustic wall and so on 😊 So now the bass in the bottom can play with ported box again. I’ve also made a lot of changes to the crossovers.
Better then lots of high price tag speakers called high end mafia.. congratulations ur speaker singing very sweet with very extra unheard musical detailing .. wonderful 🎉😊
Thank you 😊 I work part time in a Hifi dealer shop, so l can promise you they are true High End. It would be very very expensive to buy something that beat this ones.
One of my favourite tracks, sounds great. Have just finished building the Revelator 851 myself.
Thank you :) Yes they are truly amazing now. I’ve med a lot of changes in the crossovers, l also upgraded to TeXtreme tweeter. Revelator 851 should be nice.
iT SOUNDS LIKE THE REAL THING live performance !!!
WOW IT IS BEAUTULL
It sounds very dynamic...
It sounds much warmer and better in real life. My phones mic can’t really make them justice 😉
D.I.Y.? It’s really outstanding work!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you very much :)
Texstreme way better?
@@nathankimmett8803 Compared to what? I think the "TW29RN-B" is also an excellent tweeter! But my preference is for "Texstreme".
Nice Song Lars ... It sounds Like Live music..
Thank you 😊 Yes it does sound fantastic.
oh my!!!😮...one of the best sounding speakers i've heard...especially on utube...where can I buy a set or do I have to build them?
Thank you 🙏🏻 And you should hear them now, l’ve replaced the tweeters to SB Acoustics TeXtreme and did some adjustments in the crossovers. I used this kit as a foundation www.troelsgravesen.dk/SBA-741.htm but builded a bigger enclosure with active sub in the bottom. I can upload some more samples tomorrow 😉
www.troelsgravesen.dk/SBA-741_Lars.htm
they hit every range in sound...then blend together like peanut butter and chocolate... smooth 🎶🎶🎶
@@briancampbell7712 Now l’ve uploaded one more sample. My phone can’t really do the sound justice, but it still sounds pretty good 😊
Such a great self-made speaker.
Thank you very much 😊
fedt anlæg og go lyd .....bedste rotel i mange år
Thank you 🙏🏻 Yes this Rotel Michi is truly good..
Hi! They sound very good on RUclips, perhaps a little bass heavy/boomy! I see you have incorporated the SBA 741 speaker system and the Bass module which is seperate the speaker and made into one box speaker. The bass module is down firing and of course you have the bass driver re positioned to the front. Do you think this is probably having an effect on the bass? Not critisising just an observation. They do look good as well..cheers
Hi! They are not boomy in reality, in this case it is the phone that can’t handle a correct presentation. No no problem with this concept, there is separate enclosure for the woofer here. I could not built it like Troels, not the design anyway because it was very ugly to me.
@@larsrudehov5876 Fair enough, happy listening.
The shape is really elegant - I wish Troes did more speakers like that. So much more WAF.
Thank you 😊 Yes l’m very happy with the result of this build. And they sound amazing. If l was to sell them, l’ll bet my woman would leave me….
Sounds really good and look is impressive. How is soundstage ( depth) , dynamics and imaging. How is complex Orchestral music and piano . How these drivers compares with scans peak illuminator drivers. And if it possible than make some demos of different music genres ( Rock, Classical, jazz and female vocal). I am also considering these to make as in India I have access of SB drivers and thanks to legend troels gravesen that design is open .Thank you.
Thank you! The soundstage is really deep and wide, it otfen sound like music comming from center and surround speakers. l´m really pleased with dynamics and imaging, it is very easy to close my eyes and place the happenings on the scene. Most music sounds really great, but my system is very tuff on bad recordings. I´ve never heard illuminator drivers, but my guess is that illuminator is the best drivers in the world. I can upload more music later on, right now l´m upgrading the crossovers with Path Audio resistors.
@@larsrudehov5876 hi. Did You changes resistors for pathaudio ? Can You tell what is better now after upgrade ? Thank You
@@michalryszawy Hi Yes l did. And the Path Audio resistors really bring out the details and clarity in the music. It was really good before, but this resistors truly must be the best in the world for this purpose.
@@larsrudehov5876 thank You, so you chamge all the resistors in project or just some ?
@@michalryszawy Just the ones straight in the signal path. One for tweeter and one for midrange in my case.
What woodworking tools were needed to make these speakers? Table saw, router, etc.
это можно заказать
@@БояровАндрей They would be very expensive.
Nice setup! Those speakers sound amazing! How long did it take you to build them?
Thank you 😊 Yes they truly are amazing for the money. I think it took me around 160 hours, but it was not stress. I had my beer and worked in a relaxed way. Yes l have tools like router, tablesaw and so on. Nothing fancy. But, before l cut out the pieces for the box ( sides, top and rear ) l realized that my tools not was good enough, so l let a local wood shop do that sawing. The baffle, bottom and inside pieced l made my self.
проверьте АЧХ что то не то с верхней серединой
@@larsrudehov5876 Great balls of fire
Snyggt!
Tackar :) Är otroligt nöjd med dessa skapelser.
nice job, those look great! How do you like them? What did you have before? I'm on the fence deciding if I want to build these.
Hi and thank you :) I really love these speakers, in my ears ( and everyone else ) that has listening to them they are amazing. They are not play crazy loud speakers, they only have a rating of 70 watts. So normal listening levels are prefered. Before this l had Heco The New Statement, witch l build entire new crossovers to.
@@larsrudehov5876 hmm... what do you mean when you say they are not especially loud? Are they running out of headroom on the bottom end or more the midrange? I don't listen super loud but I do crank it on occasion.
@@snoopyboobs Well, sometimes l see people in forums that plays as loud as 125 db. I never do that, sure this will handle higher level than l usually play, l can try around 90-100 db tonight and how high that is.
@@larsrudehov5876 are you biamping between the woofers and the lower mids? What do you use to cross the woofers over and are you using a high pass on the lower mid. Can you give me the details and impression of the woofers and their enclosure, volume tuning etc.? Looks like you may be running them sealed with a plugged port.
@@snoopyboobs For the three drivers on top l have a passive crossover, and they are all driven by Michi S5. For the lower woofer l have a Hypex FA502. Regarding the lower woofers, l’m thinking of replacing them with real subwoofers. The ones l have can only take 90 watts, and they can sometimes be a bit close to their limits. Here you can see some more info. www.troelsgravesen.dk/SBA-741_Lars.htm
