The Aquila wound low G fits the nut grooves that are already on the Kala, just fine! When I install a nylon or fluorocarbon string, I usually have to adjust though.

Hi @annao7210 We just released a "2nd edition" of Ukulele for Children: Book A in the USA. It has additional high G notes added into the original songs. You'll still see the low G melodies there as they were originally intended, but you can modify with the high-G alternates that have been added in. Contact Panyard Inc. in the mainland US (or Kanilea 'Ukulele if you are in Hawaii, US) to purchase this 2nd edition with the high-G option. Hello! The chord progression on the guitar would be the same. I suggest googling the guitar chord shapes for G6, D7 and A7. Alternatively you could also just use a G, D and A7.
