1/7/21 - 31/7/21. From the tropics of the Daintree, down to the NSW highlands, and re-routed back to Alice Springs via Mt Isa thanks to Mr Vid-19. A lot of km's behind the wheel, but some fantastic places discovered along the way. Oh and I bought a drone.

Well done bru. I'm doing this race in 2021. How long was the section you had to run on tarmac and was it only between the 50 and 60km aid stations? Also, do you have any specific advice for the course?
Thanks man! 50 - 60 was on flat country road between farms, if I had my time again I'd change into some cushioned road shoes (if you got crew at both aid stations ofc). The rest of the course is beautiful but mostly non-technical and pretty flat in the scheme of things. I think best training tips would not be to find the gnarliest steepest trails near you, but spending lots of time on feet running (rather than hiking) fire trails
