This was one of my favourite records when I was a child. How lovely to hear it again.

American here and have never been to Nova Scotia. I did almost get to see Carly Simon in concert but never did. She mentioned Nova Scotia in her song You’re So Vain. I almost bought that record when I was in Poughkeepsie, New York. But it cost $7.48 but I was short by $6.08, which was quite a difference. So I never got that record. The next week my paycheck from my paper route came, and I went to the record store, picked up the Carly Simon record but then I saw that a new KISS record was out, I think it was “Rock & Roll Over” so I put the Carly Simon record back and bought the KISS record instead. I might go to Nova Scotia some day.

Thank you for sharing as was looking for this download for a long time. The voice of Burl Ives and the Korean Orphanage Choir always brought a tear to my eye when listening to their singing back in the 60s and 70s as a child. So grateful that my parents had this LP.

Wow I haven’t heard this before. I loved Burl and remember hearing his amazing voice and songs throughout my 76 years here. It’s very emotional for me to hear him sing this with the children. ❤
