Remember, the sub-title to this should be "It Was Billy All Along". Billy created everything in the Dark Hold. After Jen told Billy the rumor that Agatha may have traded her child for the Dark Hold. So when Agatha was having her hallucination of the Dark Hold in episode 3, that was created completely by Billy as he was just told that rumor. Don't think about how Agatha and Rio met, that was not what this story was about. Just a couple that new each other through history or maybe another story to tell by Marvel.

Having this episode come before any other episode would’ve completely spoiled the twist in episode eight. You can think of episode eight as the finale and then this episode as an epilogue. Also she obviously didn’t trade her child for the Darkhold. She just let people believe that. Which is why Rio in episode eight asks her why she lets people believe those things about her.

Yeah, there are a lot of things that don't make sense or that are glossed over in the writing. The problems were there in Season 1, but it's even more noticeable this season. But to answer a few questions you had: • In Season 1, when Codron arrived at Genet's headquarters, he saw them inject a test subject that was already a walker, and its head promptly exploded. So they knew they had some more fine tuning to do on the serum. • Daryl shot the walkers with the darts because he had seen injected walkers attack each other (when he and Quinn were in the arena fighting walkers in Season 1). He was gambling on those two walkers getting rid of the others. • They didn’t explore Carol’s Sophia trauma in the main show because they had a lot of characters to juggle and they chose not to spend time on it. When the showrunner asked Melissa McBride if there were any stories she would like to explore for Carol, she said she’d like to see Carol finally get closure regarding Sophia’s death. • The plane has a weight limit, and the fuel containers add weight. Since they have to carry all the fuel they need with them, it means the plane can’t carry as many people. Before the ZA, they would have would been able to get more fuel in Greenland or some other stopover between France and the US, but they can’t do that now. Carol told Ash her marriage was a bad one, so I don't think there was ever any intention of bringing “Ed” back. Carol thought it would only be Daryl, and Ash thought it would only be Sophia. • You're correct, it was the girl who killed Codron's brother. • You’re not the only one who expected to see Remy and his husband as one of the walkers behind the glass. I noticed that Carol paused and looked extra long at one walker. I thought for sure we’d see it was Remy, but they never showed its face. So I guess she was just making sure it wasn’t Ash. I agree it was a lost opportunity. • There’s no way they could have filmed Season 3 in secret. There are too many fans who track filming and they’re really good at ferreting out things like that. Plus, whenever they film on location, local fans get excited and start posting pictures and reports. • When Norman Reedus said 2x6 was the best episode ever, he’d just finished watching the rough cut of the episode in post (before they had completely finished it) and was super excited about how it turned out. So, yes, I think we should take his understandable excitement under consideration and keep our own expectations down a bit. lol

If Agatha’s son died, the scene where Rio tells her that Teen isn’t her son makes so much more sense now.

Really loved their take on lillia's divination powers. Most theorized her seemingly "random" outbursts were her seeing the future and we saw it becoming more reality throughout the episodes, but they really out did themselves in this episode. It wasn't over convoluted, the transitions between the timelines were smooth and easy to follow for the viewers. Most shows that do constant time jumps tend to get messy and all over the place, it becomes hard to know what point in time their focusing on. Currently highest ranked episode so far, super fun and well written. Hope they keep it up and the last two episode can deliver. Also, we still most likely need another trial for the green witch (Rio), though I'm not even sure what that would entail.

Yes, when you analyze the writing and pick it apart, there are a TON of plot holes. It also feels too rushed, probably because there's too much story for only six episodes. That said, it's the episode I've enjoyed most this season so far, largely because seeing Carol and Daryl back together again makes me so happy that I'm willing to overlook the shortcomings of the writing. lol I was wondering the same thing about the World Beyond variant walker. It's like they started out with one idea, then threw that out and changed it to Genet experimenting on walkers. Because, with the Genet storyline, it makes no sense that the French scientist would have died and turned into a variant. That makes me sad since I found that original WB tease way more intriguing than the more cliché idea of creating super walkers to use as an army. Just FYI, showrunner David Zabel said during interviews at last year's NYCC that who or what "came back" wasn't what anyone was thinking (i.e. Rick, Morgan, etc.) and that it was something related to Carol's personal story (which turned out to be the trauma/PTSD of Sophia's death coming back to haunt her). But not many people read those interviews, so everyone kept expecting it to be Rick. (Who, as you guessed, must have returned after Carol left, which was basically confirmed when Carol said Judith didn't want her to go.) And, yes, the show absolutely did that on purpose, probably to generate buzz for The Ones Who Live. I'm okay with it, but I do think it was a really bad move on the show's part to set up those expectations when they had no intention of paying it off. Also, we didn't actually get a Daryl and Carol road show in the main show. We just got a promise of one. So I'd be fine if that's what happens in Season 3. lol! But I understand why people who aren't on board for that wouldn't be happy about it.

Honestly i understand why people are annoyed with what was said on the radio but for me considering what happened in s9 and 10 with Carol and Daryl telling her he is there. Anytime she felt it to talk to him. For her to say the feeling came back on a radio it was kinda just going back to the promise they made each other. To tell him.

I think you're on the right path. Keep in mind that Billy inherited his mother's powers and is an extremely powerful witch in his own right. In the future, he succeeds Dr. Strange as Sorcerer Supreme. To that end, Billy can hear the thoughts of his loved ones when they experience a strong emotion. He ABSOLUTELY heard Wanda and Vision's thoughts as they tucked him and Tommy into bed. He was aware of what was going to happen and, while he may not have been actively casting a spell, his magic kicked in to find him another vessel to swap his current body in order to survive longer. Think of it akin to child Wanda's Probability Hex to stop the Stark bomb from going off. At that age, she didn't know the concept of probability let alone know how to cast a Probability Hex. Even so, her magic sensed her fear and, more importantly, sensed her need and desire to stop the bomb from detonating. From those emotions, it acted to help her achieve that goal in whatever way that it could thus ensuring her survival to one day become the Scarlet Witch. There's no reason to think Billy's magic wouldn't operate in the same way.

I think Billy's soul reincarnated from wanda vision (this is kinda what the canon says) he used his power to survive destruction at the end of Wandavision. I think at the end of the road billy will ask for all his family back. the sigil on billy's mouth is a cursive 'M' for Maximoff.

ngl i kinda feel like this episode isn't real ?? like it's a dream or something. it just seemed super off. the aspect ratio didn't change when they entered the trial which makes me believe they're still on the road and possibly running into one of the salem seven just messed them up or something. also, the show has made a very important note of having the characters talk about the moon phase on the doors and that didn't happen which i don't think is a coincidence either. but also i could just be coping wayy too hard over losing alice because she's my favourite of the coven and i refuse to believe she's dead lol
