This week I focused on using up the baby carrots I had leftover from the Holidays and some forgotten tomatoes. I don't video breakfast or lunch because they are pretty much the same each day. I do make dinner from scratch 3-4 days a week and we eat leftovers the other times. We don't eat out very often. I hope you enjoy this week's meal preparations. Well I brought my geraniums in and then life got in the way. But, I've finally had some time to make this video on my way of propagating these beautiful plants. We enjoy these blooms all winter long and you can too. This method has saved me tons of money in the Spring when it comes time to plant geraniums. We all love free plants.

Thanks for sharing your haul. ❤ Your nails are so pretty by the way!
Excellent video! Very well done.
I've been eating citrus off multiple trees. The pummelo 'Cocktail' I can get 10 ounces of juice from one fruit. Also still picking Chilhuacle Amarillo, Chilhuacle Negro, and Hawaiian peppers out fo the garden. These peppers are starting their third year of production if they survive until April. The Chilhuacle are great combo for my chili using Cranberry beans and the Hawaiians are both sweet and hot. I puree the Hawaiian peppers with ginger, turmeric, garlic, and some salt before fermenting them for at least 3 weeks - good on hard boiled eggs but can be used in other ways. About 32F this morning and 63F this afternoon with 20+ mph winds. Peppers are under a heavy duty clear tarp over a raised bed.
You've been busy. I love citrus fruit but it doesn't grow here in Michigan.
Ooohh, what’s a Cosmos Crisp apple like?!
The cosmic crisp apple is crunchy and delicious. It has the texture of a honey crisp and very sweet.
Good luck on this challenge!
thank you!

Thank you. I love that I can have a close relationship with them, I wish my Boston granddaughter, Katie could be with us during these baking times.
I tried to use you now with my first order promo code and it wouldn’t take it.
you used maryborn1?
Thanks for the tour on this Saturday evening. Hard to watch things go to sleep for the winter but on the other hand it leaves time to practice growing things indoors :)
Thank you for commenting.
Yes winter is upon us fast, from Northern Michigan.
I enjoyed seeing your garden! It was encouraging to see a real garden instead of one that looks like a stage set. Thank you for sharing! Beautiful Autumn colors, too!
Thank you for your lovely comment
This was very informative, thank you for this video!
On Monday I purchased 900 pounds of Golden Bosc pears for $200. Goal is to experiment with making a hard cider. Golden Bosc isn't the best pear to make cider with, but it was the end of the season and I had no choice. I've handed out probably 100 pounds to friends, family, and neighbors. Culled about 50 pounds. What is left should produce 35 to 50 gallons of cider. No idea if it will meet my expectations, but for $200 it is worth a shot.
Good luck. Sounds like a lot of work. Let me know how it turned out.
Hi 😊
Hi Dr. Born! You are amazing. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we connected. Love you 🥰
Awesome Sand Hill Cranes! I’m grateful that your garden continues to give you joy.

Great Information, Thank you 🌽😁
Thank you for commenting. Miss seeing you!
@@MaryBornforHealth Miss You!! We should plan a lunch 😁🥰
Great harvest! Lots of free potatoes from only 6 to start with!
I remember harvesting potatoes with Katie. Lots of fun!
Love this story!!
Great video and awesome food preservation ideas that offer a healthy nutritional flavoring options . I also dry celery leaves, they are so delicious and have such a pungent flavor.
Thank you for commenting, Elle!
Thank you for the dahlia spray! Wondering if it might help with the grasshoppers eating mine!
Let me know how it works out. It certainly won't hurt.
thank you Mary your flowers are so beautiful Love you Barbara❤❤❤
Keeping you in my thoughts for a full recovery. Always great videos! Thank you! 🙏

Great gardens, growing so many varieties! The sawdust looks fantastic.
Thank you for putting the sawdust around the beds, it really looks great!
Mary, your garden is beautiful. I love all the flowers.
Thank you for commenting and the lovely compliment.
At the end of the month, I start my seeds for winter plants: gai lan (Chinese broccoli), bok choy, spinach, Chinese celery (kintsai), daikon radish, bunching beet for their tops/greens.
I love bok choy!
I did get some Korean Mint and two licorice seeds started. I've never tried growing either of them. I'm concerned the mint could become invasive.
Can you keep the mint in a pot?
@@MaryBornforHealth It is in a pot, but the seeds are nasty
Doing much better than my garden. My plants look good, but the weeks of 110F to 123F temps stopped any fruit from being set. The only things doing good are watermelons, Golden Delight yellow zuke, and some of the hot peppers. I just noticed that my first 'Indian PC-1' pepper had turned red - this is my go to for red pepper flakes as it is a nice heat without flavor.
I don't know how you tolerate such high temps! I melt when it gets close to 90F
@@MaryBornforHealth 10% humidity and 110F is nicer than 90F w/ 90%
Awesome job! Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom.
Great tip about your homemade all purpose 🧂
Thank you. That video should be up soon
Thank you for this video. I just mixed up a jar tonight. I didn't know you are supposed to stir it everyday. I thought you just let it be for 3 days. I'm glad i watched this video & found out i have to stir it everyday, and i have to let it ferment for at least 7 days. THANK YOU. Anxious to taste this 1st time tepache. God's blessings to you & your's. 🥰
8th done my friend Great effort, stay connected! New supporter friend.
This was very educational. I always tend to toss in some seeds, and then the veggies fail. Lol. Maybe I’ll try again. You’ll see in my last garden tour video how much of a failure my raised beds are 😂
Thank you for commenting. Good Luck seed sowing!
Let me know what you decide to plant.
@@MaryBornforHealth I planted some beets and some more sunflowers. My garden is a hot mess right now lol! The deer keep eating my roses. I’ll make a video this weekend for you to enjoy 🩷🌹
I have to start my winter veggie seeds in Aug to grow over the winter. Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli) is one of my primary crops. I like it better than regular broccoli, but the sauce I use is an oyster sauce base.
Sounds wonderful!
Great garden tour. I had no idea that elephant garlic 🧄 is a perennial! So neat. Your calla lily’s are stunning!
Thank you for your kind comments.
Beautiful looking garden, its a pollinators dream.
!!!
Thank you so much. I have to not focus on the weeds so I can enjoy it. And yes, the pollinators are active.
Florida weave is how I've been doing it for a couple years. It works so well.
So glad to hear you use it too!
We will not get any significant rain until after Halloween. Last night we had two foxes, a racoon, a skunk, and a cat trigger the video cameras. Two weeks ago I was awarded a gold medal at the State Fair for my Eisbock beer (Strong European Beer category). That puts my medal stack from the last three State Fair competitions to: 4-gold, 3-silver, and 1-bronze.
Wow, it really is dry there. Beer award! How fun is that! Thanks for replying.
