Optimizing Network
Добавлен 28 ноя 2018
My channel is structured to help people with their existing hardware. I don't do this for views, respect, or money, if in the future I get monetized...great! BUT, the goal is to help people understand tips and tricks that most don't talk about, be that AMD or Intel, Nvidia or Radeon.
I always loved PCs/CPUs/Graphics Cards/and other sides of technology, and played games since early 1993, so I have always been a fan of gaming, and always wanted to be a computer programmer, and somewhere in the future both of my favorites came together as one.
Having next to no budget for gaming or best systems in 1999 and on, I always looked for ways to optimize my gaming and PC performance with different registry utilities, 3rd party disk defragmentation software, and spent huge chunk of my life debloating Windows 98, XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
A lot of this knowledge is still practical to this day, and I am happily sharing this with you now.
Thank you

Stalker 2 (My Controller Mod) Version 2 - More Aggressive Controller
Version 2 has Controller approach you more aggressively and more bold in his behavior
Still seeks cover, but to a lesser degree, and it clearly shows as he will not turn for cover as Vanilla, or even as my Version 1 that was already more aggressive compared to Vanilla
Mod Details:
Passive Damage from being close to Controller
Psy Strikes result in knock-back on your butt
Melee up close will also cause knock-back on the floor, usually will result in your demise as controller love to hit you twice, or trice, but not always, so there is a slight chance for survival if he does knock you down from melee.
This was done to avoid people running up on him, which doesn't make sense.

This shotgun also got the highest damage, just because I want this double barrel to be viable again, with a clear downside of having just 2 sides it balances things nicely. Reloads are quicker, Aim Down Sight is snappy. I love the shotgun again. Super effective against mutants and human NPCs Ballistics were also redone to accommodate the bullet drop being less at shorter distances, but drop way...

Stalker 2 MOD: AKU and AK74 increased rate of fire / No FOV zoom

Some stuff I have been modding. Increased AKU's rate of fire by about 25% and increased AK74 rate of fire by 15% percent. In reality AKU-74 has a cyclic rate faster than AKM, because short barrel rifle has more gas blowback, cycling the bolt faster AKM fires slower, as there is more gunpowder burned inside of the barrel before piston is initiated

Stalker 2: Flashlight Mechanic placeholder or a scrapped concept

So, I have been modding the game intensively and found this (super interesting) There is a flashlight burn out parameters in the files, but they are not working, they are likely either a placeholder or something that was scrapped I honestly think it would be very tedious trying to balance flashlight mechanics, running back to spots to find batteries and such, as there is also NV missing at the ...

Bro, are you interested in optimising the upcoming final fantasy 7 rebirth release on steam January 23rd that uses unreal engine 4 which most likely has traversal stutter. Whats your thoughts on fixing unreal engine 4/5 traversal stutter?
It depends on the game and the software being used, modern softwares rn utilizes multiple cores to increase performance, but if it’s a software relying on mostly on a single core, it’d be a different result
When optimization video for the 9950x?, love your videos man!

Version 2 has Controller approach you more aggressively and more bold in his behavior Still seeks cover, but to a lesser degree, and it clearly shows as he will not turn for cover as Vanilla, or even as my Version 1 that was already more aggressive compared to Vanilla Mod Details: Passive Damage from being close to Controller Psy Strikes result in knock-back on your butt Melee up close will also cause knock-back on the floor, usually will result in your demise as controller love to hit you twice, or trice, but not always, so there is a slight chance for survival if he does knock you down from melee. This was done to avoid people running up on him, which doesn't make sense. Lingering damage from first Psy Strike will give you 2 options: 1) Engage until he is gone 2) Retreat In the past you could camp for a while and take no damage, but it will linger after a while. In my version with first strike you will lose about 35% of your health and psy damage will begin to take your health, unless you run away and take psy-block, or end the controller. Damage is also buffed to next level, I feel like this should be one of the strongest if not the strongest enemy and it is now. Version 1 demonstration: ruclips.net/video/tGfBWNjq8WQ/видео.html
tell me, is it the same for 7500f? I have a creative ae-5 plus sound card, when the c-state is set to auto, the sound in one earphone becomes quieter at times, when watching RUclips (that is, the computer is not loaded) when I turned it off, the sound problems disappeared

Wasn't recording right away. I am yet to encounter 3 bloodsuckers at 1 time, let alone 5. I took a look at A-Life files and saw that max spawn count for Bloodsuckers are 2 units. I don't understand how it happened, but it was extremely unusual experience. I also was kind of panicking trying to engage them, so I missed a lot. This shotgun has been buffed by me to have really high damage and fast reloads, but even then it was extremely hard to survive complete rampage of them at this helicopter field surrounded by whirlpools and gravity anomalies. A-Life got a mind of it's own!
I take no credit for the music, it is AI generated by "AI for the Culture" Beard has some classy tunes for the bros on Skadovsk My mod in progress

Thank you :D I love the AK74 chonk sound now Previously the rate of fire was WAY too slow Redid ASVAL variants as well: ruclips.net/video/KGJTyytQEAk/видео.html Not as fast ADS compared to an AK for balancing, since I upped the damage on ASVAL, and higher armor penetration
same speed
what happened to 555.85 Studio Driver? its not good anymore?
i have a 7800XT so would these settings still be fine??

Disable SMT in lasso, which same as you disable core 1,3....13, 15 causes BIG periodic freezes on my Ryzen 7700 and 4090 at Hellblade 2 game. So, you must testing it from game to game. UPD - with disabling these core Hellblade didnt started, it freezed on start video while I not turn on all cores. And then I saw that on my setup disabling it cause more stutters, but on another game it can be better. Also I cant playing without vsync. I always turn on it in driver, because screen tearing without it
After installing Process Lasso my XBox One controller began to intermittently cut out during games. This happens while plugged in and on Bluetooth.
Hi, Sir. Huge kudos and respect for making this kind of content! rn I am using the 537.58 Game Ready Driver on my 3080ti, do you recommend the studio driver you mentioned in your video instead?
But that's wrong! You are LITERALLY doing different things in this "test". Event repeatability = 0. That's wrong. Your test is incorrect.
Same motherboard as you the new 3.15 bios actually improved performance.
Intel Arrow Lake CPUs don't have Hyper threading they could've been Amazing CPUs if they don't have worse performance over 14th gen and lower memory latency.
amazing! you got my like and subscribe
Can u advise me about average voltage and frequency to undervoltage RTX 3080ti? I’ve disabled HT via bios. Less stutters ingame and I don’t feel any changes in windows. Lasso good software to manage cpu, but it doesn’t need in this case.
can i do everything on 3080 5800x3d ? i have high fps way above my refresh rate but mouse feels heavy and it feels like 70 hz maybe 100 with 144 hz monitor 3 months ago was fine in bf v and delta froce now its unplayable
Options may be different for AMD, so don't follow scheduling part, but you can disable virtualization, etc. Just be mindful if I am disabling stuff for Intel in the video, some of it is transferable to AMD, some of it is not. :-) As far as Nvidia, it's 100% transferable stuff
well check your refresh rate sometimes windows will reset it
it's at 1080p though 😢
1080p is the best, it shall never die for me LOL!
can you make a video with delta force? and explain what you do to make it run so smoothly?
Awesome find! I've been stuck in my lifelong Intel mindset with this 7950X3D, trying to strip away as many limiters/reducers/idle/sleep/power-saving functions and features as possinoe...like we've always done on Intel CPUs. But the way you've explained it here makes sense. Any updates to this theory based on your experience in the time since?
Consumers shouldn't put so much effort and expertise. Games should just be plug and play
Would be cool, but PCs always been like that, hence why I don't bash people for buying a console, they don't want to tinker with a system, I am okay with it. But I did it for 25 years, when I had no money for PCs and had to compromise the parts and performance. I hear you, and I also wish it was that easy sometimes
@OptimizingNetwork it was on windows XP and 7. Afterwards it was downhill
Hi sir, what is your best settings right now for AMD cpus and x3ds? 1) Are you still using balanced power plan for amd and x3ds? 2) Do you still recommending disable hyper threading per game via process lasso? 3) Are you still recommending to disable High Precision Event Timer for every cpu? 4) Do you still recommending disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator and Virtualization Devices in Device Manager? 5) Threaded optimization is still OFF right now? 6) What is the best nvidia driver right now?
1) Yes, even on non-3D chips 2) Depends on the game, some really like HT on, and some do not, you have to test it. BUT, yes through Process Lasso. For an example: STALKER 2 and Arma 3 both LOVE Hypethreading/SMT. Both love all 16 cores turned on, rather than 8 cores 3) Absolutely YES! F the High Precision Event Timer, aka the latency inducing frame killing Windows feature! 4) Yes, just be careful not to disable Virtualization Drive Enumerator or you won't be able to format your drive through Disk Management option. Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator does not always show up for AMD cpus, so if you don't see it, don't worry about it, Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator is not as important to be disabled (imo). 5) Threaded Optimization OFF, yes. Just keep in mind in the future that might change, but in my case Threaded Optimization being OFF is the best for smoothness in games, it can eventually start to work great, that can change. 6) Last best driver for me was Studio Driver 561.09, best all around driver for RTX 4080/4090 and for Windows 11/10
A bunch of bullshits as always

Keep in mind, the longer you hang around there, the more chances you have from the dead man's buddies arriving at the spot, and there enough of them to corner you in that stash-house. Happened to me, but they were engaging mutants and I heard them shooting at them first, so I got away clean without them noticing me as I flipped the light off before they even saw me. I love this kind of stuff in the game, it makes it feel unique, and if it wasn't for the mutants, I am sure I would be reloading save games, and by then I already had so much gear on me, I couldn't even run. Enjoy!
0:00:00 TAA (95% Resolution) + AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation (in-game settings) 0:29:00 TSR (95% Resolution) UltraQuality Preset + AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation (in-game settings) Even though TAA (in-game setting) looks nicer, TSR (UltraQuality, in-game setting) generates better 0.1% lows and looks to me that frame to frame latency is even nicer on TSR (UltraQuality) option. BUT, the caveat here is that TAA is more responsive, but will begin to become more sluggish when storm and lighting is coming. TSR (in-game setting) remains super smooth compared to TAA (in-game setting) during those heavy moments, but TAA has better mouse/keyboard latency. The difference is noticeable if you know what to look for. TAA is butter, TSR is butter, both win. Both were using FSR 3 Frame Generation (in-game setting) FSR Upscalling (in-game) + FSR 3 Frame Generation (in-game) in itself is 3rd option but it brings too much pixelation, but is still pretty nice. The biggest downside is not the pixelation, but the fact that the mouse/keyboard latency is increased. Frame to frame latency is only 1 ms or so greater than TAA, but the feel of the mouse/keyboard is the best on TAA. If I was to rate the responsiveness of these 3 combos, I would put them in 2 categories: 1) Frame to Frame Latency 2) Mouse/Keyboard Responsiveness I would rate it as such [FSR 3 Frame Generation enabled] (Frame to Frame Latency) TSR: Best TAA: 2nd Best FSR: 3rd Best Mouse/Keyboard Responsiveness TAA: Best TSR: 2nd Best FSR: 3rd Best Best AMD Radeon Adrenalin settings: ruclips.net/video/xlVmmPCjN4o/видео.html Windows 11 (24H2) CPU: AMD 9950X BIOS: PBO Enabled (85C Limit) Scheduling: 16 cores allocated to game (Hyperthreading: ON) Scheduling: 16 cores allocated to Steam.exe (Hyperthreading: ON) Game Bar and Game Mode: OFF Graphics Card: 7900XTX Driver: Adrenalin 24.10.1 Radeon Anti-Lag (Adrenalin): ON AMD Smart Access Memory (Adrenalin): ON Motherboard: Asrock X670E Taichi BIOS Revision: 3.10 AGESA: 1.2.0.2a RAM: 64GB CL30 6000mhz

0:00:00 Beginning 00:41 TAA Upscalling - Best. Least pixelation, most responsive 17:46 TSR Upscalling (Quality Setting) - 2nd best, low pixelation 18:42 TSR Upscalling (Balanced Setting) - Bad setting, high pixelation After doing a bunch of tests, and examining data, I highly...HIGHLY suggest you turn on any of upscalling options of your choice (TAA being the nicest in looks and responsiveness) and turning on FSR 3 Frame Generation (in-game) as well with your Radeon cards I ran native resolution here, and found that Native Resolution has a gang of black pixelation for no reason, and as soon as I enable Upscalling and FSR 3, almost all of those visual artifacts go away. Native Resolutions: ruclips.net/video/U8UsK0Pv5lI/видео.htmlsi=jgakMVod1hVAh6W6 ruclips.net/video/U8UsK0Pv5lI/видео.htmlsi=jgakMVod1hVAh6W6 Upscalled + FSR 3 tested: ruclips.net/video/F0fELC8MIIE/видео.htmlsi=4o-7tRM0PjZUI5_6 Also, notice how frame to frame latency is half of the Native Resolution too. Developers did an AMAZING job in implementing upscalling (TAA, TSR, FSR) and FSR 3 Frame Generation here, so much so, it is like DLSS 3 when you use both, with all the benefits and zero drawbacks. My favorite combo is TAA (95% resolution) + FSR 3. Sharpness of 14% (in-game) I run Anti-Lag in Adrenalin settings and AMD Smart Access Memory, also I selected Tesselation Preference for In-Game in Adrenalin software, so it does not override anything in actual game. Give this a shot, it actually works AMAZING! FSR option in game is nearly as good or sometimes better than TAA, but you will see same pixelations as if you were to run Native Resolution, and latency will be a tiny bit higher in frame to frame compared to to TAA option. TSR is somewhere in the middle of these 2, still a valid option out of the 3. No wrong answer, but TAA works best in my case. Most responsive for going ADS and general keyboard and mouse latency. Movement is more fluid with TAA compared to FSR, that adds a bit of heaviness when you move your mouse around and that seems to be universal situation of FSR in other games as well. TAA is more fluid here. I just saw a test on my buddy's channel and he was testing RTX 4080 with DLSS, and 7900XTX at native resolution is getting more FPS than RTX 4080 with DLSS. In usual scenario it's completely opposite, with DLSS beating FSR and FSR 3 Frame Generation, but not in this game, because here Native Resolution gets more FPS with 7900XTX and TAA/TSR/FSR + FSR 3 Frame Generation doubled that of the Native Resolution with 7900XTX If you were to main this title for a while and were choosing between RTX 4080 and 7900XTX, then 7900XTX would win by a landslide. DLSS simply cannot compete in this title, while in games such as Ready or Not - DLSS is king, and FSR cannot compete with it. I speculate this game has been coded on Radeon cards and tuned to them as priority, which is not a bad thing to be honest, but RTX 4000 series is struggling with frame dips according to tests that I saw.
Side note: this is the most fun I had in a video game in probably 6 years, surprisingly so!
0:00:00 Native Resoution 13:30 TAA Enabled (no frame generation) There is a heavy pixelation while not using upscalling in this game, at 13:30 I enabled TAA and the game became less pixelated, this was the first run of the game, and since then I have TAA Enabled, Resolution of 95% (in-game) and FSR 3 on (in game), that works the best, and looks the best. Side Note: After testing the game for a 7 hours plus, I saw about 90 fps average with a 0.1% of 50 fps or slightly below at Native Resolution and Frame Generation methods after I found game to be twice as good. Literally twice as good in averages, and twice as good of a frame to frame latency. Going from 10-12 ms (or even greater) on Native Resolution (as in this video) to a smooth 5.2-6.5 ms using Frame Generation methods. FSR is SUPER implemented in this game with 7900XTX, respect to the devs for spending that time to give us 3 separate frame generation options. Bottom Line: Turn on one of the 3 upscalling methods TAA, TSR or FSR. I will be showing you those upscalling methods and how well they do soon. I had a crash in another video while running Native Resolution, while playing with upscalling options I had 6.5 hours of no crashing. Also, excuse me for not resetting FPS after reloading the save game, you get the point though. Averages are about 92-94 fps. But upscalling and frame generation videos are coming to show how well they do (and they do WELL!) After testing the game for a 7 hours plus, I saw about 90 fps average with a 0.1% of 50 fps or slightly below at Native Resolution and Frame Generation methods after I found game to be twice as good. This run actually showed the plight of the Native Resolution too, as the game simply crashed randomly, while playing with upscalling options I had 6.5 hours of no crashing. que drivers recomiendas para una rtx 3070 o en general de la generacion rtx 3000 cuando desactivas TPM en la bios e instalas windows 11 con rufus omitiendo el requisito de 4gb se puede jugar en faceit cs2 igual todo en un sistema 7800x3d b650 asrock
We can FINALLY get a 60 fps in this game. I remember years ago people had a meme about Arma 3, and it was always an ongoing joke that EVENTUALLY you will find a CPU that can run this game above 60 fps. 9950X is the one! Tested campaign with no scheduling to the game, meaning all 16 cores were engaged during playthrough and nothing but the chipset drivers were left to figure out what needs to be engaged during the game. This was not an intentional test, but an interesting one nonetheless, as I will be retesting using just 8 cores of CCD1 engaged for the game.
Ahhh, fun fact, after examining this game, FSR is not properly working in it, I see no difference in FPS while changing from FSR on to off. Unless I am doing it right, but so far I can't get it to work in the game to have quantifiable improvements, and Native Resolution feels great.

Anti-Lag setting for Ready or Not makes the experience super smooth in feel of the mouse. Frame Generation + Anti-Lag reduces input response especially noticeable during firefights when you must respond quickly. Enable Anti-Lag (Gaming -> Graphics tab of AMD Adrenalin) and Enable Smart Access Memory (Smart Technology tab of AMD Adrenalin)

most of them 90% is placebo
Sure, like any Latency Mode in NVIDIA control panel, Anti-Lag in Radeon, latency in mouse clicks, stutters on screens reduction, and higher 0.1% and 1% lows. For a channel like yours, that focuses on gear, you really don't know what a f you talking about. I have been tuning my systems since I had Compaq Presario 1999 and HDD that I defragged each day to make sure my system is snappy enough to play games, I am an OG of this shit. You don't want to follow the guide, cool, but saying it's "placebo" shows you know nothing of basics of tuning any CPU, be that Intel or Ryzen. This is common information among people that tune their system. I will leave your comment for a little bit and then delete it, just so another person doesn't listen to your bullshit
The reason for the dips is clock stretching of cores and/or error correction of the infinity fabric. You can check for clock stretching by comparing core clocks in HWiNFO vs the core effective clocks. A good tool to test SOC stability is Linpack Xtreme. If you can run it with consistent GFlops then it's stable, if the GFlops go down or fluctuate during the run, there is error correction going in in the SOC. Also remember that things are different if your GPU is pumping heat into the case as well, so I'd err on the side of stability with regards to the CPU, because it will be worse during gaming. Gaming loads are not as hard as Linpack, but the added heat from the GPU takes its toll.
Unfortunately it's not so simple, and not truly an answer, let me explain: I have tried turning off C-States, DF C-States, I also would manually set frequency, etc. In fact when you enable SOC Overclock Mode things go worse, and that mode makes your Infinity Fabric stays pinned without turning down. Well, you get worse performance using that mode, I tested it. Next on the subject of Effective Clock, the nature of AMD CPUs shows that it still clocks down the CPU regardless of what your set the frequency to manually. It is a nature of the Ryzen CPU, using a command in Windows 11 to pin all cores into a static mode and forcing actual effective clock to be at 100% produces worse stutters. Ryzen gives a command for cores to go to sleep, and then begins to stutter because you don't allow it. Ryzen CPUs are not meant to be pinned as Intel can be, by disabling Intel Speed Shift and Speed Step, then you are truly pinned (after turning off C-States on Intel CPU too) Linpack does not test 0.1% drops, which you can have a stable system on paper and begin to eat shit in actual games on 0.1% lows. I am one of the few that urges people not to fuck around with Curve Optimizer, because ANY AMD cpu is too finicky when it comes to voltages, and the lower you go on the voltage (even -15 on Curve Optimizer) the greater drops on 0.1% lows compared to Stock Here is a video that I made a while ago ruclips.net/video/SoaKBHP5Hkk/видео.html This is comparing 7950x3D with and without Curve Optimizer. Averages are higher with -30 offset, but worse in 0.1% and 1%, while it eventually gets close, the stock remains a more valid option Here is another test: ruclips.net/video/F46j9lgTFcI/видео.html Stock vs -50mv Voltage Offset -50mv Voltage Offset (not Curve Optimizer) also shows anomalies in drops. Voltages are key in these drops, and after examining SOC Overclock Mode Enable and Power Down Options and Memory Context both Disabled, I found these modes work way worse. Ryzen's nature is to clock stretch and to set cores to on and off, it is part of an architecture. You are trying to fix something with effective clock that doesn't fix the issue, nor is it part of the architecture to benefit the gaming side. It will always clash in games and I did lots of tests on that. Including this: ruclips.net/video/4ay27OGJz1Y/видео.html Setting effective clock to a pinned mode even through CMD.exe cause more issues than it fixes.
And would be interesting to know if You install AMD chipset drivers and manually update other drivers, like Sound, Network etc...
DEFINITELY install latest chipset drivers for your motherboard (it will auto install drivers for your CPU), do this as it will improve your performance, I know it, as 9950X without latest chipset drivers will cause stutters. www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html Find your board chipset and download that. (X670E, X870E, B650, etc) I suggest if you have AMD chipset drivers installed already to uninstall them through Add or Remove Programs feature of Windows 11, then reinstall latest ones from the website. They are called AMD Chipset Software in Add or Remove Programs section if you are uninstalling, it will require restart normally, and then immediately install new chipset drivers so Windows doesn't just auto download wrong ones from the server without you. It may include your Radeon's card install drivers for Adrenalin, but if it's not, then find your GPU in the same link and download those drivers. I had 7950X in another board, and in order not to have those conflicts I uninstalled AMD drivers using AMD Cleanup Utility www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html After this everything should be butter after restart. When you install new chipset drivers make sure to restart.
