Splitting Cherry Firewood for the Outdoor Kitchen - Boss Industrial 20 Ton 2-Way Splitter

    Completely agree! Depending on your miter saw fence setup you might be able to get enough support (with zero clearance or near zero clearance fence) but you can’t go wrong supporting the cut this way. One other option would be to lay the liner flat on the saw and tilt the saw so it is supported underneath by the saw’s table. You can also lay a little piece of scrap plywood or similar on top and then apply pressure to that with your hand while still staying away from the blade.

    Do your plants seem to be ok? I switched to rubber last year and planted for the first time this year and now I keep reading that it gets too hot and kills plants and that the chemicals leech into the soil and kill plants, but I honestly can’t afford to replace mulch in bulk every year, so I’m hoping I still made the right choice.

    That is not chimichurri. Authentic chimichurri: - 1-2 tablespoon dried oregano. - 1 tablespoon sweet pepper flakes >> it can be hot but traditional chimichurri uses the sweet pepper flakes version which can't be found in every country. - 2 tablespoon warm water Mix until you create a paste like texture. - Add 1 tablespoon of salt and pepper, mix. - Add 2-3 tablespoon chopped parsley - Add 1 minced garlic clove - Add 2-3 tablespoon red wine vinegar >> important, it has to be red wine vinegar. - Add 1-2 tablespoons of sunflower oil >> or any other neutral oil, not olive oil or other flavoured oils. Mix all and leave in the fridge for at least 24 hours.

    Hi, Thanks for the video. Question on quantity. Did you say that area used to take about 14 yards of wood mulch and then you replaced it with about 2 3/4 pallets of the Rubberific? I'm assuming it was the 2000 lb pallets or about 75 cuft. So you used about 7.63 yards. I ask because I'm reading that you can use about half the amount of rubber as wood and that seems to be your experience, but I'm just checking to be sure I have that right.

    • @blood_sweat_and_beers
      @blood_sweat_and_beers 4 месяца назад

      Hi! Good question. If you calculate the circumference of the oven multiplied by the thickness which is three inches, you get about 125 square inches of the oven touching the base. Divide the 1,300 pounds of the oven by that 125 square inches and you get about 10 pounds per square inch of weight resting on the tile. This doesn’t take into account some of the load the insulation board will spread which is between the tile and oven. Even at 10 pounds per square inch, that is well below the crush rating of the ceramic tile. 100% safe and peace of mind of no water soaking my oven! 😁

    I don't know how much of this I trust. Clearly you are incapable of adult decisions with a Steelers shirt and a Callaway hat.

    I think it’s smoke caused by the wood being so dry and dense. May need to sharpen your blades too. Also, try taking your ax out there to split those large logs in half since you’re solo. No since in getting injured out there bro. I like the videos!!! Used your over engineering brain on my pizza oven.

      Thanks! Next time I will split them in half for sure! My blade might have been a bit dull as well, so that might be the cause of the smoke. Thanks for watching!
