It irks to see comments here mentioning mariah and whitney like why’d u always have to bring other artists up when Beyonce is literally UP there. Beyonce deserves her recognition as one of the greatest vocalists of all time. People need to remember that when Beyonce is singing, she is usually dancing and energetically moving around the stage at the same. That is very difficult to do. Aretha, Whitney, Celine, Mariah, Adele etc are all usually standing still when they produce their best vocals. That's an easier thing to do. So, i think people need to give Beyonce her due. She's a fantastic vocalist. HOWEVER, if i was forced at gunpoint to choose who i rate as the best singer of all time..it would be Aretha, closely followed by Whitney. But Beyonce now deserves to be mentioned in that conversation

Whitney’s tone and emotion is what makes her so great. Beyoncé is amazing in her own right and technically, may be better than Whitney in some areas or at very least, equal. And she does this while dancing and performing….but where is something to be said for a voice that can stand flat footed and move your soul with tone and emotion alone. That goes to Whitney.

The matchup cannot be even because of the technology newer singers use to sharpen, saturate, and tight digital reverberation on their voices.

Whitney's singing is effortless. Shes definitely a powerhouse. She is The Voice!!!

I am a beyoncé fan till the day i die and she is my number one but there is just something about whitneys voice that was just so magical and god given there is no other like her and will never be unfortunately

Obviously Whitney is THE voice, but you gotta be impressed by Beyoncé too. She doesn’t get the credit for her vocals she deserves. Yes, Whitney’s tone was richer and fuller, but Beyoncé can hold her own here and is super impressive in her own right. Her voice alone is amazing, but she also sings this way on tour while dancing her ass off in heels. People who say she’s overrated must be watching someone other than who I see lol. Whitney est un ’ Phénomène’’ , hors de tout. Beyoncé est une bonne chanteuse. Il est mal aisé et inapproprié de vouloir comparer une Surdouée et une Bosseuse? Ce que WH dégage sur scène tient du miracle et vous n’en sortez pas indemne. Vous atteignez les stratosphères. Il faut un moment pour revenir sur terre si c’est possible. Beyoncé est agreable à entendre mais votre cerveau reste toujours en place! Et au sortie de son spectacle vous continuez votre vie sans perturbations. Vous aurez passé un très agréable moment sur terre. J’ai parfois l’impression que les personnes qui les comparent veulent humilier Beyoncé et elle ne mérite pas d’être rabaissée. Il y a suffisamment de chanteuses comme la Queen B pour faire des comparaisons ou parallèles. Whitney n’est pas faite de la même matière. Elle a transcendé le chant.
