An uber talented band that was criminally underrated by most. Tall Stories were the real deal to me.
This album brings me right back to the summer of 2007. The greatest ever Summer in my life. I’ve probably bought it four or five times on CD because terrible things keep happening to my CDs. I feel so emotionally attached to every song on this.

This album is one of those rare Masterpieces. Top-shelf AOR Rock GOLLLLDDDDDD! This album at one point, was my audio-addiction. I was living in the Dallas/Ft Worth TX area when "Wild on the Run" came out on the radio, followed by one more hit single. Got my own copy and cassette and...game-over. I became an instant fan. Too bad that it came out right before the advent of the Grunge movement. Tall Stories were on their was to the Big-Time. Speaking of "big", I was living in Arlington TX where they had a newspaper with concert events gonna happen. Mr Big was scheduled to play at a club in Dallas called The Basement with Tall Stories as the opening act. At that time, I had no clue who TS was. In hindsight, I regret NOT going. Oh well....what'cha gonna do. However, I DID see Journey in Mpls MN with Augeri on lead vox. The poor chap lost his voice. I felt REALLY bad for him.

I saw these guys open for Mr. Big in Tampa, FL. at the Rock-It Club. Extremely underrated at the time. They had descent radio rotation for the hit "WILD ON THE RUN". I'll never forget, the guitar player Jack Morer having to set up his own gear before the show. IMO, Jack was an unrealized session guitar player at the time. I think Steve Augeri's vocals overshadowed the other musicians in the band being taken note of. Anyway, this album still remains a go to for me when I feel like getting nerdy in the producer (by the traditional definition) headspace. 😉

If I remember correctly, this album came out around the same time as Pearl Jam’s debut, as I could only buy one cassette so I bought Tall Stories(bought PJ the next payday). I still have the cd(upgraded years later)but wish this were available on iTunes or streaming, as it’s a great album to drive to🤘🏻
