Jay look like a shark out of water
wasn't this peak oxy trey?
I WAS THERE!!! place went bananas. and a few weeks later the band hit the wall. **the date is wrong in the title -- this was 6/18/04
This was pretty cool but gota be honest the songs they did with him were pretty terrible lol
What my Spotify on shuffle looks like
Date is 6-18-04
Why is that Pepsi cooler empty?
move coke like pepsi, don’t matter what the brand name is.
Exactly my thought the seem tacked
This is awesome! At the time I knew absolutely nothing about Jay-Z. Today he’s one of my favorite rappers next to Nas. Wish I made these shows down in Brooklyn. I’m happy I caught them up at SPAC a few nights later. Those were by far the best shows of 2004.
Takeover was a much better diss track than Ether despite what people say. Nas just threw nothing but gay slurs at Jay-Z while Jigga systematically took Nas apart and pointed out that he took one line from his song and made it better than Nas ever could and how wack his discography really is when you take Illmatic out of the picture.
I got locked up in the parking lot selling pins. Unfucking real. Took all my pins that was how I was making money, luckily I was able to catch a ride to SpAC with some other heads but good lord.
Who’s j z boring
Wow neat!😊
The correct date of this show is 6-18-04
why is Jay-Z so nervous? come on hov!
Yeah this is when I basically said fuck phish, I just want to listen to strangefolk, moe and sci.
Oo They were breaking up in less than 2 months. Why bother saying 'fuck phish' at that point? The scene had gone to poo years earlier, but most of the crud that latched onto them in 2.0 has been sloughed off. If you haven't yet done so, you should look to hopping back on the train. They're as good now as they've ever been.
@@DRourk 2022 was a very good Phish year. Can't wait to end it with a bang at MSG!!
@@DCMoney96 Yes it was!!! and I'm right there with you!!!
I was at the beer stand when he took the stage, and the girls working freaked out & abandoned their post! Free beer! Thx Jay Z Put some cash in the tip jar and took all I could carry!
That is all kinds of awesome
Holy shit, I remember that too! I was in the handicap section with my friend who used a wheelchair, and all the people working concessions absolutely freaked and abandoned their posts when he came onstage. They all jammed out with us to Phish and Jay-Z for 10 or 15 beautiful minutes. Very happy to catch those Brooklyn shows, pissed I missed SPAC… 03-04 gets a bad rap, but there’s some great stuff there!
He gets us court side seats! Haha
I was at this show.. very cool moment
Aco wuz here
All those far left woke feminist Phish chicks, dancing, gyrating and singing along with "I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one." Shows how vapid and hypocritical they all are.
In hindsight this all makes sense…. I mean, the illuminevermind…. 🤫🤭
Don't think I've ever seen this. Any backstory? Did you shoot it?
Had no idea that Phish and Jay Z hung out and performed together a month after their farewell show at Coventry. They should have played If 6 Was 9.
They didn't. This was in June. Coventry was in August
@@christopheraltenburg3877 Well aware of when Coventry was, I was there. Check the video title. It says 9-18-04 hence the If 6 was 9 joke that seems to have gone over your head, all good bro. Keyspan was 6-18-04 not 9-18-04. The OP should pay more attention when making headers for videos. NBD.
@@pardonmedoug886 Oh, got it. I didn't notice the date. It's not that your comment shouldn't have been clear; I just happened to see it after a slew of other comments - both here and elsewhere - from people who really do seem confused. Once folks start mentioning only being 2 years old when this happened or not knowing who Jay Z is, it's clear that a lot of people really don't have the context for some of this stuff and are interested. That last run of shows in June and August is probably hard to understand for those who weren't there, because it was such a trainwreck at points, but also had some amazing highs. We snuck into the Brooklyn shows and then jumped the fence at SPAC and got chased by security. Then we had to do that walk into Coventry, where the mud sucked the shoes off my feet. Still, I have fond memories of it.
Yeah I’m right here, yeah I do what I can for them both.
awesome
Never thought there would be footage of Jay-Z having a civil conversation with a dude in a dress.
This is the most 🔥🔥 comment here. And no, nothing to do with homophobia. If you know, you know
Sean carter is a demonic pos
Jay-Z is trash inside and out
Awkward?? Cmon this is a match made b heaven! Lol what fun!
Jayz-Hey you know any good weed guys? Phish-😃😃😃
Jay-Z doesn't smoke weed
@@jimihendrix45 doesn't mean he does not know any guys 😉
Cyro!!!! Just one of the most prolific percussionists of all time. :)
Thanks for posting this.
I was at this show with my wife. We had no idea who jay z was. I though we missed the memo when everybody was yelling 99 problems. Super cool dude tho. Singing in the rain, loved it
This is awesome. Love that he mentions David stern
Trey certainly doesn't seem to be acting normal. So glad he is sober.
Illuminati!

If anyone had any doubt here it is
LOL yeah you guys really cracked the code maaaan
@@VinnieDaidoneGuitar 2+2 actually equals phish in this case lmao
Mike doesn't even know who Jay-Z is
just another day where mike gave zero fucks
Mike is an enigma
I dont think it was awkward because they were uncomfortable. I just think when everyone is on drugs things tend to get a little quiet since they all have so much going on upstairs.
this is true
God, Trey looks terrible
@@kennethkitchin6538 what about him looks terrible?
They're not on drugs here.
@@palmereldritchlives6183 if you know anything about someone who's an opiate addict, they are always on it. even if they aren't nodding they are on it most likely
It was awkward right up until Fish asked Jay-Z if he knew "Drew"
Really want to know who Drew is.
@@Devan-he4kr sounds like he's Andrew Stern, son of former NBA commissioner David Stern.
It was awkward right through the whole thing, and the concert!! Haha
how is this comment 9 years old when the video was uploaded 4 weeks ago?
@@jamflowman8283 I think time is elastic
yeah he does. thank goodness he got better. one a side note this is an awesome little snippet. is there any more???
