7-6-24 Cooper got in a first lap wreck in the non wing outlaw heat race. He had to start last ( 11th ) in the B main , he finished 8th in the last transfer spot. Started the feature 20th and finished 8th earning him the hard charger award.

Cooper was 5th fastest out of 24 cars in hot laps. Started 7th in the heat and went in the wrong direction with the set up and finished 8th. Started the feature 19th and drove up to 9th, on the last lap the car hooked a rut and turned it into the wall going into turn 1. Back in the early 2000s, when I raced a 270, all you had to do was avoid crashes and you most likely finished in the top 5. Drive and survive..

Sounds similar to guy I heard ended up having to put a spacer shim in between the timing gear and the block. I think it was a new aluminum gear....

No, the only thing I can figure it is that there is a liter bore out of round.
@@cooperfritzracing I got my engine rebuilt by a local guy. It is also loud. I am taking the engine all apart now and I will take it to a good machine shop this time to mic every bearing piston ect. and go from there. I will keep you updated.
