i know what you mean, so as an example you can listen to the original battle 3 version and you will notice the glockenspiel in the background is actually electric piano. I do change some instruments depending on how i like or want it to sound like with my touch added to it. Im trying to make it sound as much as *orchestra/concert hall/symphonic as possible using older software to retain and keep the sound of early 2000 music using gigastudios. By doing so, there is instruments that you would notice more or less when velocity is high with brass (i love brass being a former trumpet player myself hehe :P) or other instruments. You know i like adding choirs, changes some instruments line to favor heavy brass, dramatic snare etc, so you might not recognize some instruments or even some that has been completely replaced or changed in that sense. I must admit that i have more work to do when comes time to edit sound for equalizing all the tracks, i am not a sound professional but i think i am getting better after each remix. It would be much easier to just pop kontakt with protools and professional up most to date sound samples, pop the midi assign sounds to it and thats it :) thanks for the comment

Thanks mate! Really appreciated! Thats exactly the sound i am aiming for my remixes! I love professional remasters using the latests cinematic sound samples don’t get me wrong, but i really have a thing for the early 2000 gigastudio sound and feel :)

yes you are right, i made this remix using sony MDR-7506 headphones for the first time and it definitely has some part with too high pitched part that i wasnt hearing in the final mix especially the flute part. I think i am improving after every remix i do

probably a bit better but yeah thats what i am aiming at when doing a remix, an upgraded sound with still keeping the nostalgic feeling of soundfonts and gigastudios synths! ah the old day :)

yeah actually i started the project but didn't had time lately to put much time into it, ill probably have something ready by christmas this year or earlier :)

As someone who just played WC1 to 3 for the firts time. I must say I much prefer the soundtrack of 1 and 2 using munt (mt 32 emulator). They were more memorable to me. The music in WC3 in comparison feels like background noise.

I don’t remember if it’s the end credits, but it’s in the opening credits, and I do like that creative choice, as you hear the main theme at the beginning, and the developers held back on a reprise until what is basically the Boss Stage.

I never understood why they didn't include luigi as a playable characther, or at least being part of the story!

oh wow thats a good question, this was one of my first remix that i made over 15 years ago.... wow time really flies and i am getting old! I don't remember all the instruments, samples or software i used for this specific one, but mostly a melt of different instruments soundfonts and vsti's packages and GM. I used Anvil Studio for MIDI editing and Audacity for mixing. I had to record tracks separately back then due to a lack of professional software and knowledge to export tracks back then (still learning to this day!). Too bad that this sounds low quality because youtube uploaded low quality video only 15 years ago!

Thanks for answering the question though, I was just curious since some of the instruments sounded like it came from FF8 and iirc Uematsu had stated he used a specific keyboard for the music and I didn’t know if you were using the same kind of thing with the remastered music I listened to some of your other FF remasters as well, I initially came across Waltz For The Moon’s back in last August which inspired a drawing I made (and listened to it the whole time lol) and then came back and listened to the FF7 ending one which also sounds great!

@@Cats_N_Doodles2018 I might have used a few instruments of the FFVIII DLS for a few of my firsts work! I was having fun back then listening to the original ff4 and ff6 MIDI files using the FF8 soundfonts with my SoundBlaster Audigy back then, it sounded so awesome! I am glad this inspired you! This channel is very small with not much activity, it's hard to imagine that it actually inspire someone until someone takes the time to comment about it! thank you! more is definitely coming soon! :)
