Exactly, it's a team sport and Edmonton has suffered from goal tending issues for years now which has likely cost them more than one cup. Smith Campbell Skinner has been their best goalie so far...and that kinda says something. Crosby is in the latter of his career, he's played 10 more years than McDavid so it's hard to compare....that being said I'll say this to show the direction McDavid is heading and where he's been McDavid has had 7 100+ point seasons (Crosby has 6). McDavid is going to break 1000 points in 700 games (likely less) it took Crosby 750+ games. McDavid has played 9 seasons, he was top spot for points 5 seasons, top 2 twice, top 3 once .... The only year he wasn't in the top 3 he was his rookie year and he injured for more than half a season so we will never know how many points he'd get had he been healthy. So far by the numbers McDavid is on a path to surpass every aspect of sids stats in less games. The one thing Crosby has is multiple cups and Olympic gold but like you said "it's a team sport" Crosby didn't win the cup, the penguins did

@@42stek The numbers don't lie. McDavid can't play 60 minutes on the ice to ensure other lines don't give up goals he's one player. Hockey is a team sport. As far as goals, assists, overall points, PPG, +/- are concerned McDavid is on track to surpass Sid. The moment the oilers got a good 2nd and a competent 3rd line they made it to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Remember when Kassian was on the 1st line with McDavid? Yeah no duh they weren't going to win a cup. Teams win cups not players, McDavid carried the team on his back for years, take McDavid out and put prime uninjured Sid on the Oilers from 2015-2024 and I would bet the farm that Sid wouldn't have a cup

McDavid has one of the best back pressures in the sport so yeah he can be defensive. McDavid has played 10 less years but has more 100 point seasons. McDavid is going to hit 1000 points in less than 700 games it took Crosby over 750 games. McDavid has only been out of the top 3 players for points his rookie year in which he was injured for over half the season and he was more than a PPG player. He's been the number 1 five times, the number 2 twice and once the number 3 and even then he was ranked below 30th for the first half of the season and skyrocketed to the number 3 spot even tied #2 but got injured. McDavid broke gretsky's assist record for the post season, is #1 for points in the cap era for the post season. Sorry I love Sid the kid but McDavid is leagues ahead of where Crosby was his first 9 season as far as the stats are concerned. The only thing Crosby has is multiple cups which again is a team thing. Edmonton has a goalie problem and a defense problem that the penguins never had during their heyday which has likely cost McDavid a couple cups.

...like what exactly? Firstly CROSBY didn't win a Stanley Cup, the Pittsburgh Penguins did. It's a team sport. Connor has played for 9 seasons the first season was injured however he was a PPG player still. He was top points player 5x Top 2 points player 2x Top 3 once He's never been below top 3 except the year he was injured so do we really count that year? This year was the lowest he's been in the rankings and he was ranked more than 30th half way through the season then blew to #3 McDavid is going to hit 1000 points before 700 games...how many games did it take Crosby to get 1000 points? Connor has 7 100 point seasons....Crosby has 6 Crosby and has played 10 more years than McDavid. I love Sid the kid...but McDavid is the better player

Crosby has never won a cup. He's played on a team that has won cups. Not the same thing.

@@42stek Notice how you never address anything I say. Just "no cup=not great" which is the most casual take in any team sport especially hockey. Conner has suffered from trash second third and fourth lines for 8/9 seasons. Need depth to win a cup, penguins had depth in spades, Oilers get carried by McDavid every season. McDavid should move teams if he wants a cup because it's not going to happen on Edmonton

They pump you then, I’m sorry but I can’t see that card going for that much with respect. My opinion all rookie’s card/auto rookie are worth more. Yes it’s a 1/1, but how many 1/1 variations are there? And if not how many’s 1/1 will the card companies make through out his career and after? There only can be 1 specific year of a rookie card period. Still a awesome card!!

Here you're gonna keep finding yourself in arguments where you'll go through the concepts of an introductory level economics course to explain the cards value. It's a dope card, will be one of the top 3 most expensive non rookie hockey cards for a long time if not forever.
