I've been using Castrol transmax universal CVT in my 2019 civic coupe ex-t. I swear it feels better than the OEM stuff. I did 3 drain and fills to get all the OEM hcf-2 out. Took forever since I actually followed the Honda process for a drain and fill. Longest part is waiting for the transmission to get to the right temp. Then drain, then fill. Then wait yet again until up to temp. Then shift through the "gears". Then finally remove level check bolt. Anyway I'm extremely surprised at how a universal fluid can perform so well. My car is extremely smooth, way better acceleration. Just overall better. It's also not like I have a bunch of miles either. Did my first drain and fill at 20k. Then just recently at 50k. Castrol really makes good stuff. Thinking about adding some lube guard for CVT in as well.

Castrol is a vey overrated oil... ALS Global tested a VW MAXI Performance REO 508.88 5w40 with only 270 ppm of Phosphorous. 350 of Zinc, when it should be around 800ppm of P and 900ppm of Zinc... I'm out, put my box to recycle. And VW sent production to Shell.

My 800HP F-150 loves castrol

That is such a f'n lie. Think about it - the only basis for this claim is that so much wear occurs in the first however many minutes of operation. THEN we find out that oh yeah - 90% of vehicle operation is less than 20 minutes. My head explodes these guys are such sherlocks - not. ALL oils cling to motor parts. Just dip something in and let it sit. FOR DAYS it will have an oil film. It will never go away. And SAE multi-vis oils will go 10 miles on that film alone without major engine damage - but not recommended. The main problem with this is overheating - engine oil plays a major role in removing heat from around the combustion chamber. I HATE THE STUPID STUPID bunch of meaningless "tests" and Infomercials about technical subjects like automotive fluids that pollute RUclips. THEY should be cancelled for spreading false or misleading information!

Oil Cling to engine surface like a magnet? tiny metal particles clings to engine surfaces too, some engine has narrow passages that might clogged overtime..

i have used the mag 5w30 mixed with lubeguard engine treatment and liquid moly mos2--for my 2009 nissan altima 4 cylinder worked great to quiet startup noise engine runs great

This is such good marketing lol...basically adding a shot of esther base oil to make the oil "cling". This is a natural property of most true/european synthetics already.

I have a 2010 Chevrolet Impala 9C1, with a 4T65E-HD Transmission (Hydra-Matic) requires Dexron-VI; as Castrol Transmax Fully Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF is GM Approved/Certified for Dexron-VI Applications, I've used it since the month of May, and I can say that this fluid is the best. With its Smooth Drive Technology, my transmission isn't felt when it shifts (Which is the main feature of a Hydra-Matic Transmission); and the car drives smoother. By the way, Castrol is my official brand for motor oil and transmission fluid.

Marketing: What Castrol needs to do is show a little more "TRANSPARENCY" along with the other oil companies! Castrol Oil "IS NOT SYNTHETIC"! but a Group lll Mineral Base Oil! Synthetics are Groups lV PAO and Group V Ester. DEXOS2 is the follow up of the GM-LL oils required for GM motors, unless it say´s DEXOS2 in the owners manual you do not need it.

My friend Russell Cochran for Christmas I bought him the two big bottles 5 6 quart bottles of Castrol magnatec with extended life oil filters for both his vehicles he's not a fan of Castrol at all but I convinced him I'm going to start using it myself I use Castrol high mileage but not anymore we're going to give it a try I guess you really won't notice too much of a difference maybe years down the road and you're saying damn this thing still running maybe we'll run a lot smoother who knows but I'm going to switch so there's two new customers thank you

I just bought 5 gallons of this stuff because it sounded good and it was $15 a 5quart jug with free delivery. This is for a new Outback, 0-20. Now that I need to change the oil I'm a bit suspicious because the cost was so low. Any comments?
