Turning Tortilla Chips into Paint
Sometimes I eat spicy foods- sometimes I don't. The difference between these two situations is the redness of my fingers, stained from the (probably red 40) food stain! In this experiment I try to use this property of spicy chips to paint a pretty picture.
This could probably be extended to a diverse collection of foods, but I've got such a connection with this red color that I was unable to help myself!

Tasting Wine with all the Acids Removed
Просмотров 1932 года назад
Once again, this video pairs my taste buds with regretful feelings. Wine, as I learn, depends heavily on at least some of the acids being present to prevent it from tasting like complete garbage. Rehydrating apples to make them as gross as possible
Просмотров 1642 года назад
Dried apples are a favorite childhood snack, so what better idea than to completely ruin them? I infused with various kitchen liquids, then tasted the products to explore what the grossest combination is. I learned a lot, and hope you do too! Showing off my mineral collection
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I demonstrate my vanity and how willing I am to accept gifts from friends and family in the form of raw materials. Minerals are art, tell a story, and can sometimes be useful in chemistry videos! I have a lot to tell with all my minerals, so join me as I walk you through everything that I can! Turning my hair into protein powder
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.2 года назад
This is my biggest challenge yet. This hasn't been done before at home! In order to bulk up, get that mass, I decided to convert my hair into something edible and useful- it ended up being one of my most disgusting videos! I hope viewers learn something- or have an experience they won't forget. Either way, it's very cool that I get to do science like this! Follow me on Instagram! ...
This powder burns brighter than the sun! (Flash Powder)
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.2 года назад
All one needs is a couple of salts and metals to cause temporarily blindness! In this video I'm doing my best to be extra careful (and precise) when I'm making this powder. It seems all was for naught because it definitely took a lot more effort than expected to light the material. I certainly learned a lot, and I definitely think you will too! Purifying a Big Mac

I used distillation to gather the essence of America's favorite hamburger. What I found was a clean, satisfying, and disgusting result. In this case, science led to what seemed a mistake, and I paid the price (so did my glassware). Let me know what other scientific ideas I can explore! Making weird versions of elephant toothpaste
Просмотров 3522 года назад
This video is composed of 10 separate experiments that all use a different surfactant in elephant toothpaste, which is what creates the violent bubbling effect. Oxygen is released from the oxidation of hydrogen peroxide and the reduction of potassium permanganate. You know, basic chemistry stuff. Sometimes people use yeast if they can't get their hands on KMnO4, which works pretty well. Strange...
Making new and dumb versions of napalm

Have you ever considered the possibility that you could combine mom's cooking with making a dangerous combustible? Today, I look at what happens when you add unexpected ingredients to a decades-old weapon recipe. Spoiler alert: there's a reason it's not supposed to contain stupid ingredients. Why are Sharpies so flammable?

We've all been there- kids love sniffing markers so much they added 'flavored' smells to them. But what are we smelling? Turns out, we're smelling the chemicals that make Sharpies catch on fire so easily! Music: www.bensound.com
A Quick and Strange Distillation of Lettuce

A different form of moonshine this time. Ever wanted to drink a liquid that tasted like spinach? Here's how you do it. Don't do it- definitely not worth it. Let me know what else I should explore! Music: www.bensound.com
Turning sugar into an explosive
Просмотров 167 тыс.2 года назад
I used sorbitol, which has a slightly less sweet taste than normal sugar and placed it in an acidic bath, nitrating it. What used to be edible and safe has now become a dangerous goo. This kind of process can also be done to make things like TNT or nitroglycerin, which are very common explosives. Let me know what kind of science I can explore next!
Making Milk Moonshine

Using distillation techniques I generated the moonshine equivalent of milk, and I completely regret it. If you're wondering what it tastes like, imagine rotten crab from a plastic garbage bag. Let me know what else I can try!
