i believe when you pull the lock out part way, you can slide the handle to the right and remove handle completely, allowing you to remove the lock all the way. A lot of vehicles have the lock hold the handle in place when lock is set with torque screw

Can you confirm this issue won’t happen to either the customers previous key or the new current key I’m going to program
