I almost pleded Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., but one of my best friends denounced. At first I thought she was being over dramatic, but the more I looked to the Word of God and the more I prayed, I knew she was right. Praise God for these denouncing videos. Lol she says I denounced the rituals. It (the denouncing) has nothing to do with them (old line sisters).😂 I must be missing something because it has everything to do with them. I know people are concerned with offending people they we’re friends with but it’s just hysterical to hear ppl say ‘I don’t have a problem with my old line sisters. We’re still friends’ or in this case ‘it has nothing to do with them’ That’s like me realizing my friends that I use to murder people with were wrong so I decided to stop and I’m like ‘yeah but I have nothing against my friends that are still killing. If this practice was so offensive to God that I gave up a life commitment, staying attached to folks that are still committing offensive acts against God is equally offensive. Im in a groupchat with some 20 something year olds and one of them is greek. God works in extremely mysterious ways! I remember going to college and wanting to pledge delta but they were suspended for the time that I was a student. When I graduated I came across different content about free m*sonry being demonic then later learned about how the org has infiltrated many of the governments and systems in the world. I learned about how they prey on meek characters who take heed to instructions then learned about how all sororities and frats stem from free m*sonry. After that the denouncing videos came and my jaw has been on the floor ever since. My heart goes out to those who are lost because they were deceived. I shared some of the things i learned in the groupchat and was immediately attacked by the one guy who was greek for the exact reasons you stated in the video - but when I asked about why was the word of God changed to fit the desires of the org I got crickets and was called crazy. I’ll take that, i would much rather be crazy than to be deceived! I like to share information that helps open minds, my approach could’ve been better but I matched his combative nature instead of remaining compassionate so he blocked out what I was saying.

In the film “The Woman King”, the melody to the final chant sounds very similar to the slow chant the some AKA sororities sing as they are entering into their initiation ceremony. Anyone else notice that?

It's crazy to think that colleges and universities would even sponsor clubs or social groups that are knowingly training kids and young adults to worship greek Gods. Parents send their kids off to learn and get a degree and many unknowingly don't even know their kids are being beat into gangs on campus under the noses of these school administrators. Its crazy!! How and why can this even happening? How much money do these groups have to pay the colleges to be active? Finally, why have parents not gone to legislators to get fraternities and sororities bands from schools?

You are mistaken about Jehovah's Witnesses. They most certainly believe in Jesus Christ and there is no community service required. Little Sis, as you've done your research for this subject, please make sure you do your research before speaking against another faith. I grew up JW. I'm no longer a member because when I became a teen I decided what I wanted for myself. But I can assure you we were raised believing very much in Jesus Chirst and his father, Jehovah. I thank you for this video because I use to want to join but I was always blocked. Now, I understand why. God has never withheld anything from me that I desired that would not cause me harm.

When I pledged witnessed a lot of things and one has to put up with a lot of BS, just to join and I know people who died due to hazing and though I made it through the end still walked away.

Not in any sorority, but read the ritual book and just didn't understand the perspective from this video. Based on the context of the book, the interpretations seem to misunderstand the book. Congratulations on finding your conviction to live the way you believe is right. Just a disclaimer that this is not a critique of the decision to denounce - but a critique of the interpretations of the ritual book from two parts. For one - Isn't Eternal Spirit like saying Holy Spirit. And Thee will be capitalized referring the Eternal Spirit (Holy Spirit). Saying it doesn't say Jesus just seems like a reach considering Christians when Christians pray, they reference the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Just another perspective of the full context of the ritual from reading it myself. From reading as well, bowing is just a sign of acknowledgement and respect I the context of the text - a promise to "pass on the torch". The ceremony was also drafted in 1977 so the ritual ceremony can be amended especially is members are uncomfortable with the old style of the ceremony. That being said - never really been into Greek life cuz I'm not into groupy things. But after reading the ritual book, think the commitments are pretty noble. Just seems maybe the ceremony process is outdated. But traditions can also be beautiful.

Sister, I also denounced AKA. I would have been a 22 year member this year, but denounced 10 years ago. My husband also denounced Omega Psi Phi. I am so proud of you and our Heavenly Father is pleased. The D9 organizations are idolatry. I remember when I signed the book during my ritual too as an undergrad, and feeling something didn't seem right. But, after major sleep deprivation from pledging, I didn't even care at the time. I just wanted it to be over with. Years later when leaving AKA, God confirmed to me that when I was signing the ritual book, He was taking my name out of the book of Life. That how serious this is, and I thank God that I am forgiven and in HIS Book of Life now and not AKA. It is a must that we get rid of any ungodly thing in our life and being a D9 member is not worth your soul. To any current members of any of the D9, the Lord spoke through this young lady and you didn't get to this page by accident. Our Lord loves you, you are precious, and the Lord is giving you the opportunity to repent..
