During the final shootout with Micah, I don't think the game is necessarily saying don't peek out from behind the box at the start of the fight. I think what they are trying to portray is how dangerous Micah has become over the years since the gang fell out. They are showing him as the classic big bad fast and deadly gunslinger we see in all western movies. They want you to think you're not going to be able to beat him and you won't get the satisfaction of revenge you've been chasing.

Go back and kill micah was a big mistake from john because it lead to rdr1. But if you never play rdr1 you don't know that lol. You just want to kill micah i get it
