I've heard of Schlitz's but not Schmidts!!
Really miss everything about 90s tv. The commercials, shows, style, not getting canceled for no reason. When you could be a white man and make black jokes on a national stage and nobody batted an eye. The rule was if it's intended to be a joke you could say anything you want. Times we're just simpler in those days. When we left.school we left. We didn't see ppl on social media or have every aspect.of.our life online for ppl to mock..at least when you got bullied back then, you'd be able to Come home for the weekend and get away now you cant. Yall swear kids have it easy today they don't. They can't escape the hierarchy of school even at home. They need to know and be able to do all the latest stupid trends and have the latest style or accessories or else you're put on blast on Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, RUclips ect..I feel bad for kids today to not have a true escape without turning their phone off but, if they do that they lose all social contact and fall behind on trends and get made fun of for it. Yes its petty but remember how important it was when we were kids getting the cool shoes, backpack, outfit that's popular and if ya didn't you escaped at.nigjt and weekend. Now they can never escape it and if they do it.causes issues cause they fall behind on trends which makes them get made fun of its so insane..on top of all that they have to legit worry about getting blasted away by some crazy white kid while just trying to learn in school. Btw trump hasn't spoke out once against these school shooters. If they were mostly black and Spanish he'd be talking about it every single day condemning it but he doesn't wanna upset the klan and the N.R.A
21:48 those two Pabst commercials are amongst the greatest of all time….
Bud Dry. Dry beer was booming in the USA, too.
I miss the original Michelob.
"I must be in the front roooow". Classic.
Does anyone remember Tempo beer. Their gimmick was that they used fresh hops rather than dried hops. Their jingle was "Tempo, Tempo, T E M P O, Tempooooo Beer" Circa late 60s.
Why doesn't anyone have the "O'Keefe's is here, it's better than beer" jingle on RUclips? I didn't imagine it.
PUKE, probably the beers as well !
Back when it was ok to be a Caucasian man in the USA.
would have been funny if they snuck in a Norbecker or Schmits or Willer ad.
I haven't had an Old Mil in years. Amusing that it cost more now than my goto Hamms.
The good ole days, When all the adults were alchy’s and nobody cared !
Im glad pre-prohibition beer is back. No longer is it just lagers
Pabst extra light and Strohs light, Andeker, Olympia Gold, Pabst Genuine Draft, Special Export never heard of. But had every other one.
I would love to have a cold Schlitz in the bottle.
I remember the Miller light commercials as a kid
Many of these beers were regional, and no longer exist.
I see the Indian males still is riddiculed. I would love them to see the Yezzzz Sir Black male or women.
Does anyone remember the ad where these guys are acting kinda blue collar / manly and one guy doesn’t finish his beer? They call it a “ping” and then they say “did you ping, Marty?… Where’s your beer Mart?”
A comment here said “ whenever you’re in the shits grab a Schiltz “
Excellent fast food commercials!!
Outstanding Fast Food 1970's and 1980's commercials!!
Excellent 1967 Promotional video!!
Lite beer should be illegal. Fact!
These ads will get ya drinking like a true man
OUI OUI NOUS RÉCHAUFFE LE CŒUR !!!!!!!!!
$11.50 for a hamburger? I wish. Welcome to 2024...
Super excellent TV beer commercials!!
Yep , get them addicted...drink all day
Oh ya. All those commercials. Then listening to the Miester Brau showcase radio show at 12:00 am on my clock radio when I was a kid. Chicago baby.
Monsters even manufactured matzo balls also communion wafers both Catholic and Rotestant
Jim Thomas outdoors,in Chicago back in the 50 s and 60 s,Always watched his show, shook his hand at a outdoor sports show back in the early 1980 s,never saw the Burger beer commercial he did,he has passed on now,at 75 I guess I ain’t far behind, men make plans and God laughs!
We use to always get a case of quarts, old style, atlas Prager,Miester Brau,at 75 years old,we very seldom got anything in cans, always glass, and mostly in quarts!Chicago!
Whatever
I liked that Pabst disco commercial!
How come the 1980s is better than today 😢
38:53 - Larry Cedar of “Square One TV” Fame.
What??? No, "I must be in the front Row"
I don't remember most of these beers. Can it be these were before my time? Shock
I’d trade a truckload of aggressively hopped craft beer for one six pack of pre 2000’s Michelob
Screw the classic ads, I want the classic beers.
bring back oly
Drinking a non alcoholic beer as i watch this.
"Bring out your best".. 😏 your best make-up, heels, dress and panties 🤣
When I was kid in the 60s, my brother and I would occasionally get my father to let us split a can of Miller. I hated it, but I choked it down to be a cool little dude. That continued on through my teenage years and my first year of college. If that's what's at the party, you party. Then I went to live in England and drank beer for the first time. Beer is not made with rice, corn, and corn syrup. This is why I dubbed Budweiser the "Margarine of Beers." If you like that stuff, fine, but it's not beer, any more than "American pasteurized processed cheese food product" is cheese. Unlike when I was growing up, however, actual beer IS available - even lagers - in stores all across America. Even lagers.
Look how much effort they put in (most of) these ads. Locations, actors. Someone had to write all those jingles, and they had to hire singers and musicians. Today the kids tell me it costs just as much to do all this on computers; I'm skeptical. And while moaning about the "good old days" is cringe, I would agree that the world today would clutch pearls on the fainting couch if a beer company made an ad about a lunatic driving a jeep over a mountain with a freakin BROWN BEAR in the passenger seat, only to hand out beer to a bunch of loggers - and then dropping the pull-tab (i.e., razor) INTO the can? Bonkers. Some themes emerge as these go on: sometimes they appeal to the "smart guy". It's all, "Hey, look. You're no dummy, and you know the value of a dollar. Here's why this beer is better." But mostly, they appealed to what we wished we were. We're competing with each other on the field, at the job-site, on catamarans, ffs. Mostly, we're cowboys out west, driving cattle, drinking Busch ('Booooosh!") beer round the campfire. At some point in the 90s, the dreams of American men must've changed, because beer ads mostly became more about what we actually were rather than what we wanted to be: fat oafs sitting around watching the game on the boob tube. A big hustle at this time was "light" beer. One of the great American scams. I mean, great, light beer has about 30 or 40 less calories than "regular" beer, but this only matters when you're drinking 4 to 10 at a time. And at that point, is calories your main problem, or is it your alcoholism?
I really, really miss these prices.
Our country was once really something before the ✡️ destroyed it
There's no blacks in any of these commercials
Jax beer commercials of the late 50’s and 60’s did
