Safe driving clearly isn't a skill that's important to this idiot bus driver who not only didn't give me much room but tried to cut straight back in without having completed the pass. What a nutcase. Bus involved was Hillsbus m/o 9578 operating shift 264 on Monday 21 December 2015.

Commutes are a little boring at times but a few bends on a downhill section sure does adds some excitement. Just about as satisfying as cleaning a good section on a mountain bike! Mind you, the downhill from Naremburn shops under the Gore Hill Freeway and subsequent climb is a total epic fail in cycleway design . Why have bends when you can have a straight?!

I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would even try to sneak across the road in front of a semi-trailer like that - across a red light notwithstanding. How many seconds did that save?! What an idiot!

Probably my closest near-miss of the year so far (aside from the actual crash with a car) is this P plater idiot in the Hyundai Getz. Trying to force your way out is definitely not the way to go.

When commuting by bike, it really isn't just motorists who are total idiots. It can be other cyclists too. Be really glad you weren't riding in the opposite direction to the idiot in the orange!
