Well the main reason why RMS carpathia was the only on rescue was due to at that time Titanic navcom equipments was more advanced. They haven't had international rules on navcom equipment so the only one catched Titanic distress signal was RMS carpathia. There were closer ships but they couldn't catch the distress signals and when Titanic light the fireworks. They thought titanic has celebration as that was her first sailing

Many people on the Carpathia became heroes that night.. Captain Rostron ordered max speed and the crew did everything they could to make that ship go fast af. She was designed for a cruise speed of 14 knots. They made her go 17-18. Also they turned off they heating of the ship to use all the steam for the engines. When passengers complained about the temperatures and were told the reason many of them did help to make the ship ready to board the people from the Titanic. Also the Carpathia nearly crashed several ice bergs herself. Because the Titanic had told a wrong position it was pure luck the Carpathia was coming from south east and ran into the boats of the Titanic because some flares from Titanics fourth officer Boxhall where fired. If he had not fired those flares the boats would never have been found. So only because the people on the Carpathia did whatever they could and Boxhall did think to take some flares with him over 700 people could be saved. Also the Carpathia herself became a hero.. kinda. Because she was brute forced to go that fast and took some nasty maneuvers she suffered some damages of which some never were fixable. And yes. Titanics sister Olympic also ran her engines on max speed to get to help her. But she just could have made it after the Carpathia and Carpathias captain told the Olympic to stay away since he thought it might be traumatic for the passengers to see another nearly identical ship to the Titanic.

Carpathia really do deserve it's own movie. Not for the SS Californian tho, except might as well include that in their scene.

The other ships were being held on orders but the carpathia chose life over orders. If you believe the conspiracy the titanic was a hit job not just a regular sinking, and yes they will kill hundreds of innocent people to just kill a few

Carpathia wouldn’t have ever gotten the message if wireless operator Jack Phillips didn’t fix the comms and instead went to bed when the systems broke the night before the sinking. Normal procedure was to wait for the ship to dock to repair it, and y’know… The Titanic story could’ve been so much different. 700 passengers floating in the middle of the icy Atlantic with no one coming to save them.

This isn't completely accurate according to documentaries I have watched. The boat that came to help couldn't go full steam ahead as there were lots of ice bergs. Something the Titanic captain was very aware of. Wanting to make headlines was a big concern for them. They chose to disregard the ice berg warnings. Again, this is from documentaries I have watch. Just like I'm sure you all are getting your info from, no one knows the full truth. Only the true tragedy of it all

In the end it was the lack of boats on board and that was because it wasnt aesthetically pleasing for a 5 star cruise ship if they had a full compliment of boats then lots more would have been saved

Carpathia sank because German U-boats hit it with 3 or 4 torpedoes. It was transporting allied troops in World War 1

I will not say that this was the best decision. May be, it was a betting. Or, may be he fully understoodd the things he did. Whatever it was, he was still a hero and we're thankful for him and what he did. 😊

There should be a movie or a short movie on Carpathia.

People should stop glorifing titanic. It was built on ego to be the best , they got the best. They shut up warnings because of their ego and they got what they wanted. They didnt take enough lifeboats because of ego or they just wanted to k*ll the passangers. Stop whitewashing truth. If i compare it with history , it was just like hitler. It served its intent .
