Breeze Drone over water - testing - before fishing with it!!
Просмотров 1746 лет назад
Wanted to get some time flying over water before taking it to my fishing lake. Seems to be working well. RTH did great, and this simulates where I would be fishing at the larger lake. I took the Breeze out to about 200' and flew around over the water.

Want to fly bait / a lure, out into a lake and have the bait drop off the drone some distance out. This will be great fun in the summer.

Ascend H12 Fishing setup and car mounting

The Ascent H12 is a heavy kayak - more so than most would like, coming in at 75 pounds. As such, I needed to figure a way to load the kayak on the Subaru Outback. I have also configured a fishing setup which is shown in this video

Lot's of videos out there on how to load heavy kayaks on top of your vehicle. Here's my idea for the Subaru Outback. It's worked well for a 50lb 10' kayak, but want to try a 12', 75lb kayak - that will be the real test. I'll update when / IF I get that kayak!!
Aquaglide Blackfoot Fish Setup ADDITIONS

Main Blackfoot fish setup (these are additions to the below video): ruclips.net/video/7q1IzEIui9k/видео.html These are additional mods I have made to make my Blackfoot the best fishing kayak on the water (for me!) - it's not cluttered with everything I own and it gets the job done while keeping the additional weight to a minimum. Hope you like these additions.

If you have seen the other 2 videos I posted on the Aquaglide Chinook, you know this is a great fishing kayak with many nice features - which allows YOU to customize the kayak for your needs. I have shown how I have my Kayak setup - perhaps it gives you some ideas for your kayak?

2/14/15 - this shows new Fish Finder setup for the Aquaglide Chinook inflatable Kayak. The Chinook is a 10' kayak, perfect for my lake fishing. I wanted to locate the larger Lake Trout, so a fish finder was a possible answer. The Hummingbird 197i has a build in GPS and is monochrome, which I wanted as it uses 1/2 the power of a color display (100ma for the monochrome). The display is transflect...

It is a drop stitch not a hard bottom.
Ok, i give up. I've watched this a couple of times as well, and i haven't heard or seen any mention on a "defect" and "customer service issues" mentioned. Is this a let's find Waldo thing, or am i blind/deaf ?? Thanks
It's mentioned in a comment... he had failure in floor chamber and Aquaglide didn't acknowledge that it was a mfg. defect.
Nice mods. What kind of paint did you use on the PVC?
Assume u r using 1 inch PVC?
Still fish? Use this kayak?
Do you ever stand up in your Kayak while Fishing ?
I took your idea and built something like what you did out of PVC pipe but I changed it up to something differnt and would work for me . But I'm also waiting on some adaptors that will fit the Scotty mounts. I'm going to use it just to lightly pull myself into a standing position without putting stress on it . I have the Aquaglide XL kayak very durable. Thanks for your idea cool .
Nice mods, I was, in particular looking for how to modify a cart to work on the H12 which I just bought and hadn't even considered the weird hull design nor expected the H12 to be heavier than my 17' canoe. My current cart I use for my canoe is just like yours and the H12 slid right off of it. I could barely get the thing into my back yard when it was delivered! I'm going to make this hull slot mod for my cart as I have some pretty rough terrain to cross to get into my duck hunting spots. Thanks so much for making this vid. A true public service!
Awesome setup. I'm looking to get a Chelan for recreational fishing. It is also a drop stitch floor. Someone mentioned a bream easily punctured the floor. I'm wondering what your view on how susceptible the floor is to puncture.
Wondering if you have the instructions to make.
you sand YAMIKA it's actually YAKIMA probably named for Yakima, Washington where there's a lot of fishing
Awesome set up! 👌👍😉
Nice video, so frustrating how expensive this is in uk. £599 so about $800
Great modifications. Have you ever mounted an electric motor on the kayak?
Would it be possible to attach a motorized propeller to the rear of the vessel?
I've always used an appliance timer set to the charge time when I charged my Worx batteries, so I wouldn't forget. They lasted about 3+ years.
Hey, do you sell those?
Amazing. A lot of thought and planning went into this. Thanks for sharing. Do you think it’s possible to have 2 people fish out of the Chelan 155?
I don’t know who could dislike this video..? Pretty amazing modifications.
Have you tried your Aquaglide on Saltwater ?
This is great. Need something for RAV4. This might do the trick! Thanks.
Great vid, thanks.Best rigged fishing Kayak. Looking to buy an aquaglide Chelan XL 15 ft. I’ll be using in for ocean coves and bays. Do you recommend the Chela XL? Thank you.
Do you have step by step instructions? Thank you,
I just got a Blackfoot. It arrived last Wednesday . I'm Looking forward to getting it out on the water.
The products were not as well refinded back then. Try one made today. You may be happy with it.
Nice video ang great job on this Kayak! I've just ordered the XL can't wait to try it out. I really like your fishing setup, really inspiring! How is that cooler doing? Should I swap it to a small Yeti or Pelican?
I don't use the Blackfoot cooler, I use a hard shell cooler - as I put a bunch of fish in it at times, 18-21".. just easer for me. But still a nice cooler that comes with it.
Excellent video
What diameter are the tubes? Thank you
I have bought TWO of these line trimmers. They are complete JUNK. I gave these jerks two chances. NO MORE!!!!
*_This is a great kayak,>_**_allmy.tips/SevylorKayaks?λ_**_ < I have been out 5 times and have for friends that also have the same kayak. Very easy to blow up and fast and holds up to 400 pounds which I like. Place for a cooler and overall pretty good area for a person. The paddles aren't great but functional._*
Dang man lots of creativity! Very well done great ideas
awesome boat...bought two of them yesterday for me and my girlfriend..can't wait to try it out next weekend :)
Hi Scott, New owner here... Liking the mods! By chance do you have plans available for purchase? I’ll bet you could sell a few sets! Again, thanks for the vids and your mods!
Hey Jerry. Plans not needed - it's straight forward. Sorry I don't read this very much any more. As you posted this 10 months ago, I'll assume you have it all done by now. If I can help, post a reply and I'll try to check in the next days.
a lot of goood ideas !! i was searching for some ideas to rig my inflattable kayak and you gave me a lot !! thx
Great ideas !!! How did you make the paddle holders? I have a Blackfoot XL that needs that mod.
I have been looking at this kayak and love your setup. I THINK I'm looking at my first kayak. The 2019 has integrated wiring plugs for a fish finder pre installed.
All that unnecessary work just get a small fishing boat
Don't hate. Dude obviously loves this "unnecessary work" and is really good at it
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and review. This is one of the best I have seen.
Thank you for the helpful video. I like the shelf/dashboard you made out of pvc. Is the shelf part DIY, or did you modify something that is commercially available?
Looking into getting this Kayak and you have given me some helpful tips and ideas for when I get mine. Great job! Thanks!
Very slick looking kayak mods.
Nice review. Really innovative additions.
Wow difficult to install a aquamarina blue drive? I have a home made rudder design in my mind for it. I love the rack.
Many thanks for posting this. I'm right on the verge of purchasing the Blackfoot XL. Hope you're still enjoying it.
When you get yours do you do any thoughts on using it on Saltwater Bays ? Someone was telling my to watch out for oyster bays . But I plan on launching from sandy shores.
@@gorila1958 I bought the Blackfoot XL 2 yrs ago. Used it in local lakes here with lots of standing trees, stumps, and laid down trees in the water. I got lot's of scrapes all over the inflatable kayak. But never got a puncture. It's made of tough stuff. The only issue I have is that it is so light, and sets high on the water, making it very susceptible to the slightest breeze. Hard to maintain position. I only used it a year, then bought an Old Town Topwater PDL kayak. I'm much happier with it.
Hi! Thank you for your detailled review! I was actually planning to get a Sea Eagle FastTrack 385ft... but now I am wondering if the Blackfoot XL (or Chelan) might actually a better choice. Aquaglide isn't very visible in this space but it seems to be a quality manufacturer. How do you think the Blackfoot compares to the FastTrack? Price, size and weight seem to be pretty much the same. Oh, can you mount a trolling motor on the Blackfoot?
Great setup - I was worried that an inflatable would not work for fishing but your mods mean that it works well -thanks for sharing
Ive heard black is the wrong color to have unless you live in alaska. It gets incredibly hot but looks super cool. Any thoughts?
Hi - thank you for the design idea. It would've been useful to see you actually load / unload your Kayak using your loader, as we could then see what kind of kayak holders you've mounted to your roof rack, and how your design works to get the boat aligned with the carrier. I use the Thule carriers which tip the boat up on its side, so I side-load the boat(s) from the side that they face. This is doable partially because my 17 ft Kayak weighs only 40 lbs, but thinking of how to handle one of those heavier plastic molded boats for the kid.
I like this most of all so far. We are looking at loading two Ride 135 on the top of a Ford Escape. Talk about weight! This looks like it could be adjusted to do that just fine. Normally we trailer them but that limits us when we want to do 'other things' due to having to park with the trailer.
Nice video. I like your modifications. Thanks for sharing.
Good details, thank you for sharing!
