How to Oil a Cutting Board
Просмотров 6695 месяцев назад
How long has it been since you revamped and re-oiled your chopping board? We estimated we’ve used ours nearly 800 times over the last 4 years. That’s a lot of chopping and the wear and tear is really starting to show! Of course we always give the board a good wash after use, but it still has plenty of scuffs and stains so we’ve been starting to worry about it becoming unhygienic. The time has c...

    Seriously doesn't say anywhere in the instructional document that you can't use the booster in the second coat!!!

    Why not use the booster on the second coat? Think you guys need to improve your documentation. At least make it consistent with your videos, not impressed

    Spent $1700 on this product, not really impressed that your video contradicts your tins with how much booster. Also wish you could just say sanding is not required between coats it's only if you want a smoother finish or something along those lines so I knew if I had too

    Another thing in the instructional document it doesn't say anything about the sand inbetween coats making it the perfect surface for the second coat. All it says it will improve the appearance, so do I actually NEED to sand inbetween coats?

    Informative video, but why are you saying 100ml of booster into 2L! On the tins it says 100ml to 2.5L! And doesn't mention using thinners. I just already did my whole floor! Wish I had seen this before and contacted you. Now I probably don't have enough booster

    Useful video. Thank you! Just one question: if you apply the hardwax oil with a roller, is there no need to remove excess with a cloth (and if so, will paper towels do the trick as well? 😊)

    • @whittlewaxes1853
      @whittlewaxes1853 Год назад

      Great question...Firstly be sure to use a micro fibre roller as recommended. When you roll it out, thin and evenly, the roller will gauge the correct quantity to be left on the surface . Do NOT wipe surfaces after rolling.
