I swear I like this woman a normal amount. Bloodfiend Queequeg has absolutely no right to make as much sense as it does. - The Middle/Bloodfiends = Toxic abusive family that she couldn't escape from - Rebirth metaphor, but like. Fucked up. - The "maggot" metaphor of surviving off people's death/literally sucking on people's blood - Bloodbags are quite similar to Mermaids - The mask that Queequeg always wear when she's fighting for Ahab in the original timeline/the fucking mask the fashionitas wear - Rose for the designated red flower, which is an elaborated reference to The Little Mermaid - A very convenient pair of scissors for cutting the rope (ring) that connected her to a certain special person that she could no longer recall - She couldn't even reunite with Ishmael anymore because she is afraid of water now and can't get to the Great Lake, making the "can't remember Ishmael" metaphor more poignant Too bad that Bloodfiends aren't weak to sunlight, or it would be even more angsty.
