However, the base coat I used does not seem to care how much I scrub, and I dare not risk damaging the plastic more than my haphazard kit-bashing has done. Despite my, interesting, choices for part swaps and additions, including apparently not wanting the backpack attached on near enough of them, I believe most of my models are still usable. On a larger base I attempted to bits box bash a Hero model to lead my Junkers. I also attempted to convert a couple plastic guys to the Exo-Suit models. I think I was getting somewhere, but I know I dropped the project as at the time I didn't know anyone still played. I should see about fixing a squad of Convict Legionaries together and get them painted up, alongside the metal models I'm using. The grip is very old, roughly fifteen years or so by Games Workshop. They have a newer ergonomic design for sale I believe. I don't have a specific brand to recommend, mainly due to experience of it not mattering. Taking care of your tools and using them correctly goes a long way. However, you should be able to find basic hobby knife kits in general stores or dedicated DIY outlets. Places like B&Q and Wilko here in the UK. The packs usually have a couple different size grips, that also relate to different sized blades they can take. Be careful when buying packs of blades, as low quality brittle blades will snap much easier, which can lead to hazardous metal chunks in you projects, or worse, those chunks pinging into your eye. Rule of cool, dry fit, don't be afraid to try something. If you're putting models together for competitive play, keep in mind the wargear a given model is supposed to have. But most importantly have fun.

Keeping the power level low was the point of this deck. I don't build for CEDH. Despite that, this deck has worked rather well, mainly needing something to help in the final 1v1 moment. I have considered upgrading it with more expansive rare and mythic options, but as a personal deck that defeats the purpose of it.

Oh, if you mean a different Commander that I haven't put an upper rarity limit on, I can certainly do that in the new year :)
