Inline skating tutorial: How to wheelbarrow
I've only just found your channel but I really like this explaination. I want to learn backslide because i think it looks so cool but i'm struggling to consistently get boot down on royales. Hopefully i can remember your tips when i get to trying backslide
Thank you very much for your comment :) I hope you can improve and learn new tricks. Unfortunately, I won't be making new videos because I've got fewer than 1000 subscribers, meaning that none of the ads RUclips run on my channel make me any money. And having now to take care of a baby, I have no incentive to carry on. It was an interesting endeavour, but sadly not worth the effort and time to film, edit, and post, for getting nothing at all in return. I'd rather spend that time with my son...

This is a Training Wheel. A Wheelbarrow also involves a heel roll, but the trailing foot is in the royale position.
lot of explations but sorry, your fahrv was barely a fahrv
Ah sorry the wide-angle lens was the wrong choice for filming the trick. I promise you it was actually a farv, but indeed it looked weird 😅
A picture is worth a thousand words, we need that good looking fahrv, man 🥲 Your feet seem to point forwards, but shouldn't they point backwards, like for a royale? Or is it the video angle?
NICE 🔥But That is a training wheel.
You did a pud backslide haha nice I just got mine can’t wait to skate them.. Have you ever had any problem with the cuff?
Hi buddy, I never had any problem with the gear on the Shadows. Very sturdy skates. Just not the right skates for me, too big for my feet and legs. I now ride Iqon AG10s, and they're the right skates for me.
@@jeremyfitnfun today I had my first sess with them, they feel weird at the beginning, but I got used to it kinda quick and I discovered unities and royales are easier on these skates, I previously had aeon 60
Thx
The velcro on the Ennui destroyed my liners by constantly rubbing on them... great pads but flawed velcro.
EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I’ve been wondering about the comparison of creates vs fluid 4 and gc flt 3! Thank you!
Nice
Careful with your nuts
Did u ever try these like sascha simms does his with just a normal skate liner like a intuition or reign v3
Hi Liamh, no I have not. I think Sacha can be seen as a Shadows fan and he may experiment a few things here and there, whereas I still prefer a more classic skate, and the less I modify my skates, the better for me. I recently got the IQON AG10 and they are the best skates I've ever ridden. Shadows are nice, but nowhere near as responsive. I think Shadows in general are best suited for people with big bulky feet and big calves. I have rather slender feet and little calves, and while I've got no problem to "fill in" the Shadows as far as my legs are concerned, my feet had too much vertical room in the toe box, so I had to place an insole to narrow that gap, which makes my ride height significantly higher and overall not as enjoyable as on the AG10 for which I didn't have any adjustment of that kind to make.
@@jeremyfitnfun thats some good points im looking at them from the perspective of being someone whos foot is tight width wise in a 10-11 sl i think a intuition in shadow could solve that issue
How do these fit compared to the sl u skate are they wider fitting of closer to a cult/m12
Trigger's are tighter fitting than SL's.
Thank you very much for this review. I was about to drop 300+ euros because I thought this skates could actually help my ankle malleolus's pain from rubbing. It's a surprise that it is the other way around!
I can say over time the walkable liner breaks in and now I feel very comfy in them. You have to give it a good 2 months. Up to you if you want to wait.
Is the tongue contoured to your shin? I saw a review saying they were very straight rathet than curved.
They break in quite quickly and will contour your shin nicely.
Cool video . I’m going to order a set of these now. Nice skating aswell boss
Thank you Jordan 😀. I hope you will enjoy riding them 😊
I just tried this as a stall last night and was very pleased to find that it's easier than the regular mistrial...
Compared to the razors sl for general park if u could only pic one what would it be
Hi Liam, for me, in that case, Razors SL. It's just the better all-rounder in my opinion.
were did you buy from
Locoskates
wow those were also my first "aggressives" skates, I'm probably wrong but if I remember correctly they were the firsts fifth element. also I had them with soul plates, it was only for the front of the boot, like I was not going under the heel. thanks for the throwback :) good memories.
It's nice to see how much the skates have evolved since the mid nineties. Even though there has not been any improvement for years now.
Was it a good wheel?
Yes it really is to be honest. I have only used it outdoors on the usual shitty UK surfaces so very abrasive and rough. And for a 88a wheel, it has lasted a very decent amount of time (about 4 months). Very comfortable wheel, I could actually tell the difference in "rebound". It doesn't mean you'll be jumping around like a kangaroo, but it does absorb impacts vs another standard wheel. But when it's worn, it collapses a little too quickly. Like an all or nothing kind of thing. For that reason, I prefer Under Cover wheels, or Dead. But the longer lasting wheel I've ever had, and still have in my reserve stock, is Famus wheel (non aluminium core) even though not as comfy to ride.
Nice! I think I have these too. Very wide with the orange font. I think they are the stock Eugen Enin Shadow wheels. The newest ones. I got them as "generic" wheels on a recent order from Roller Warehouse. I think they'd probably pair nicely with the Fluid 5s. I guess that is why they come with the Shadows!
@@Martz604 Roller Warehouse seems to be such a good skate shop. You can buy skates boot only, and not just full skate only like in some other skate shops (Locoskates for instance...). Man, I wish I live in the US (I suppose that's where you live). Gear is way cheaper there as well. Razors SL boot for less than $150. Bargain! Unfortunately I can't shop there because I'd get assassinated twice: once on the shipping cost, and another time on the import tax :(
Sorry, I replied from another RUclips channel of mine...
@@pending253 All good and yeah I am in the US and I do buy from them and some other shops often. Very good to support the local shops. It would be great if I had one closer to me so I can actually try skates on. Sizing and fit is always such a gamble so I obsessively scour the internet for as much info as possible on skates.
sick that you got this both ways 💪💪 i still need to learn one regular 😂
Thanks man. I always learn new tricks both sides, otherwise I consider I don't have the trick yet. It's a bit strange at first, but then you get the hang of it. And thanks to that, I can play ping pong both either left or right hand, just as good haha! I don't really have a "switch" side now, which I like. I usually practice a new trick on just one side until I get it, and then I do the same on the other side. Try it :)
Nice Review bro! Did you skate the SL with shockabsorbers or without? Greetings
Thanks man 😀. I kept the shock absorbers in. I know some people remove them because they prefer a flatter stance, but for my morphology I actually prefer to have my heel raised a little, via a decently thick shock absorber.
Thanks for the insight! Seems like everyone is trying these
Hi what's up? What size are your boots and your liners? Very good video!
Thanks for your kind words 🙏 😊 . My liners in that video were the Reign V3 in size US9 and skates are shell size 2, I.e. US8-9 or UK7-8.
Got my pair coming soon, excited to give them a go. For anti rocker do you think the create original frame is better than the fluid 4 frame?
I know you weren’t asking me, but I can confirm the Fluid 4 works great for anti on Xsjados/Shadows. I never used Creates though
Awesome news! Let me know how you get on with them. Regarding the antirocker frames, my preference will always be Create Originals over the Fluid IV. I prefer the way the antis sit higher up on the frame (for the Creates OG). Also it's slightly shorter in length than the Fluid IV (if we compare them in size Large), so a bit more maneuverable. The main advantage is for switch-ups in my opinion.
Are these good for wide feet?
I'd say good for normal width feet. If you really have ultra wide feet, the Razors Genesys are a safer bet.
@@jeremyfitnfunare they wider than the ROCES m12s?
@@Xxx999-y8h yes the SL's are wider. It's a comfortable fit, without any extra unnecessary space. The bigger the size for SL's, the wider the shell. They just add a few mm when they increment the shell size. You can see precisely all measurements on razorskate website.
@@jeremyfitnfun I appreciate the info , I’m getting back into skating & purchased the ROCES m12s . I’m a sz 12US the 14 fit but tight on sides , replaced them with a size 15 & was still tight on the sides that caused numbness in 5 minutes. I don’t have a local skate shop to try some on . So will the razors fit true to size? Or should I get a size bigger.. say 13?
@@Xxx999-y8h if you're a size US12, you're classified as someone with big feet. And I know a blader who has the same foot size as you here in the UK, and he got M12 and said the same thing as you: way too tight in the sides. M12 is typically a narrow boot, with a narrow soleplate. It's more appropriate for teenagers in my opinion (meaning people that are light and with slender feet). I find Razors SL fit exactly true to size, I'm a EU42.5/UK8.5/US9.5. If you wanted to have the widest fit, go for Razors Genesis. Great skate as well, but they are heavier than SL's. You should be fine with the SL though. Just measure the widest point of your foot, on your widest foot, if they're not identical, and see Razors' website for shell width.
What’s is the best website to order pair from??
It depends where you live, but Locoskates is a decent international skateshop.
Hi how many cm is the scope of your calf? I heard from a friend a woman L/XL is to small so s/m sounds crazy.
Hello! My calf has a 35cm circumference. Don't judge the size you should go for based on a random woman's calf size. A lot of women have bigger calves than men depending on the ethnic background and the level of obesity in your country etc. I hope it helps 🙏
Thanks for the support and kind words. We do not limit stores from purchasing the complete frames or shields on their own. It is 100% up to the shop. I recommend asking the shop to get some on their next order. 🫶
Hi Brian, thanks for your feedback! I didn't know it was up to the skateshop. I would buy straight from Create OG if I lived in the US. But since I don't, shipping cost and import tax are prohibitive unfortunately 😕
Good info.
Thank you :) I am glad you found my video useful 😊
Thank you for talking about the liner construction around the ankle.
I'm glad you enjoyed my video and found it useful :)
@@jeremyfitnfun it's rare to have a review where the actually liner fit is discussed. One of my favourite part of footwraps were the heel lock. However I did not get to try the Stockwell mid wraps. Think they would have given that good support to the front and side of the ankle crease. Kind of crazy that the eclipse liners are lacking in this regard
@@longtermsquatter yes indeed, I try to give more insights and a different angle from a product review. Getting to a physical skate shop is not easy for some people nowadays (me included), so I find it useful to provide details and the nitty-gritty. I've only been able to skate them for a third time, again in very wet/greasy conditions, but I'm getting used to them and really enjoyed the yet again short session, and finally found my style and landed decent tricks. That time, I really tightened the laces as much as possible, and that was so much better! I think that's paramount for someone with slim calves like mine.
great video :) love the honesty
You're welcome :)
I si have issues on the right side of the boot. I have previous enin skates which are the black ones. I’ve tried wearing two socks and still have bruising on my right ankle. The left side I don’t have issues with.
Great video. Thanks for your insight!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback :) It means a lot to me 🤗
Thanks so much for the deep dive into the skate! For reference what size did you end up getting?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow! I have a comment from my favourite blader RUclipsr, Ben Sanders ;) Keep it going Ben!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
if you walk in the walkable liner for 3 months it will feel better you need to tighten the laces tight on the top ,this is the most important part i didnt own this type of liners but i know that being so thick and soft brakes every liner except intuition liners intuition uses firmer material and its comically thin compared to these
Thanks for the tip 👍
I'm planning on doing this. Will be nice to be able to break in a liner even when I'm not skating.
@@Tryhardtri ruclips.net/video/rAgajZoS0rk/видео.html
For the ankle bones you can get the MyFit Ankle Footies. I had the same problem at first, but it kind of formed to my foot with prolonged use. My main concern with these skates are the strap holders at the end, I feel they might break if I miss a grind, so I’ve strapped a belt ring to, well, the straps, so when I miss a grind, the object bounces of the ring.
Now, that's a great idea, thanks for the tip! I've just done my third session in the Shadows today, in wet and greasy conditions, so not ideal, but I'm getting used to the skates and I bladed much better. I didn't get any ankle pain whilst blading, but after taking them off, my ankles are a little tender. Surely it will get better as the liners break in. Also, I was much more in control today. Once you understand the way the Shadows flex, they become more predictable. And I totally see what you mean about the strap. The thing is, it's hard to get spare parts as far as I know, so definitely worth taking care of them as much as possible!
hi
Hi Matheus, what's up?
am brazilian
si you
Awesome skate! I want these so bad. Thanks for the video Jeremy. Have fun!
Thanks Gordon! It's been raining non-stop where I live so I have to wait before trying them out ...
Thanks for your video. I ordered the S/M size of the Ennui shin guard but I just can't close it, it's way too small and I'm a rather short person actually. I don't understand how you can wear this size, you seem taller than me and probably have bigger legs than me too. I'll return it and buy the L/XL size instead. The only problem I see with this shin guard is that it's too big to wear it under a pant (unless wearing an old school baggy pant). With a short in summer time it would be fine though. So very good idea the football shin guard, I think I'll look into that so I can wear it under my pant in winter time. Cheers man
I'm 5'11", but my calves are actually rather little. Even though I trained them for a few years in the gym, they barely grew in size. It's just my morphology I guess... Having said that, bear in mind the ENNUI shin guards elastic band will stretch overtime, but if you couldn't close them even by pulling on the velcro band, you were right to upsize for sure 😉 The only gripe I have with those ENNUI shin guards is that they tore up the top of my liners with the rubbing of the extremity of the guard whilst blading. A bit annoying 🙄 😒
I am never cold in winter with short trousers, wearing knee and shin protectors. It's almost everything closed cause of them and the boots. Try it out, just a tip...
@@nikolausheinemann6566 thanks but I don't like wearing knee pads, I don't see the point of this protection, I'm never getting hurt on the knees... I prefer to wear a jean pant when I ride by 2°C 😉
@@koenigsbier50 i wear it all, always ;-). You know, never happens nothing, but then this one time, this little fall, but all is open. I wear it all, thats what i do ;-)

Thank you for the review, it was very useful to me 👍
Glad I helped you @Hazuka ;)
Just wanted to say thank you. As a firs time blind agresiv skater this really helps. Keep more coming.
Thank you, and you're welcome 😊 🙏
I appreciate folks who test interesting setups and older gear. Did these wheels spin freely? Using the same spacers might not be a fair test. The correct spacer depends on the combination of bearings and how they sit in the hub. There might even be noticable variations/distortion with same brand and model wheels, especially from cheaper or careless makers. It's probably not worth it for most people, but Powerslide/Wicked makes micro adjustable spacers for this exact reason.
Yes you're totally right. But here, I believe that time got the best of those wheels... they were made c.25 years ago, with what seems to be cheap polyurethane. They're not going back in my frames for sure! Anyway, after just one session, they went from being unused to very worn out... so it shows you the poor quality of those wheels. I'm sure Roces has better quality wheels now, but my parents had bought me the entry level skate, and that was very poor quality. I'm grateful I had skates though (and they were my first pair too) 😉
Nice video bro, your info is precise, thanks!
Thank you Jose 😊 I have a lot more content coming, but I've been very busy recently so hopefully I'll be able to do more editing soon. Next video will be a review of the Create Originals frames.
Hey is it clearly smoother than Steel bearings?
Hey man, I did not notice a difference regarding smoothness compared to standard ABEC9 steel bearings. However, the main difference is with hybrid ceramics you don't need any maintenance. And I find that a great advantage. I've been using those bearings for more than 2 months almost every day, and they still roll just as fine as day one 😀.
Thanks for the tutorial, it was great! Seems like there aren't too many tutorials out there for the X grind. I am not sure it is advised, but I am using the X grind, along with top soul, as a means to begin learning topside tricks.
Whatever works for you my friend. And yes I think it's a good idea to build up confidence, but don't get used to it too much, otherwise you will have the wrong reflex of not turning your leg enough for top soul or top acid for instance. Best of luck with your learning ;)
@@jeremyfitnfun Thanks, I will keep that in mind and make sure that the majority of my topsides are topsouls and not X grinds. I am practicing on a grind box with coping, not on a p-rail, so I think that should help me keep my form on topsides.
@@MrTea117 good to hear buddy! And if you really want to train your form, othing is better than angle iron for topsides... but it's definitely harder than on a rail or grind box with coping, because your need to get lower.
You should wax your cuffs for a silent skate lol
Guess what: I already have, so it was WAY worse before haha! Also I believe my ceramic bearings are quite noisy, but I can't complain, never had to clean them and they spin just as well as day 1 :)
