QCT4 Standard Nesting Rows on Pantograph
Thanks so much !!! Can you make a few more videos using pattern cad and quilt cad please ? I am very new to this software and need all the help I can get. I especially want to learn more about how to design with it .
What a great tutorial !!!! I just got the QCT 5 Pro software and I’m a bit overwhelmed with both cads. You make it so easy to understand !!! I look forward to watching more of your videos!! Thanks sooo much !
Donna, can a multiple pattern layout for a row be saved as a file to use on subsequent row?
This is a great teaching video, and I thank you. I don’t have Gold, so the question is can this be done in pro 6? Keep them coming. Your a great teacher.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much for this easy to follow video! Its just what I needed and I was successful in adding some extra backing!
This just happened to me, and I thought what am I going to do?!?! Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks so much ! I look forward to watching your other videos !!!
Wow! Less than 5 minutes to fix! Thanks for sharing!
Donna . . . you are an outstanding instructor. You show us what to do and tell us why. You show what happens if you get it wrong and how to correct errors. You give us the confidence to try new things . . . you make the complicated easily understood. Thank you!
Very helpful. I’m getting my new machine in two days. I’m excited ! Thanks for making these videos !
Hey Donna, I wish you'd update this video using QCT6 ~ thanks, Janet 🙂
when placing the design multiple times once you have it the correct size once you can just copy and place it but you still have to do the pattern after the last time and say no...I'm still learning but this is an excellent video
Thank you for the video but you’re not explaining what the words mean when you say them. You mention to click on zone but what does that mean?
I know it’s been a year since you posted this, but you saved my butt today! I used your technique and saved myself a major embarrassment! My client’s quilt was close, but needed literally just two inches more backing which I didn’t realize until I was almost done quilting it.. So your suggestion worked perfectly. ❤
What if you connected the usb Bach and you can’t get out of silimation mode
How did your ted snappers that soze? Did you cut them? With what?
thank you so much for this. It is so helpful!
In this video on the left side you say this is your actual quilt. Did you take a picture and bring it up in PowerPoint? If so, how do you link the size of the photo of the quilt with the size of the working screen? An aside: I have QCT5 Pro and have been wondering what gold would do for me. This helps a bit. Someone at Grace should be the Adam of Adam Sew Fun.
Donna, I want to give you a huge thank you! I just got my longarm in October and just this past weekend with the help from the lady at the store where I bought this monster from I was able to quilt the whole quilt except for a partial row, and then a couple areas for blocks. I’m gonna be honest I don’t know what I’m doing, I wish this thing came with an instruction manual, but with your help I was able to finish that partial row and do a couple of blocks to totally finish this quilt off. Again, thank you so much. Your instructions were fantastic, and again I’m done ❤
Realized just now that my backing was too short and panicked a bit 😢. Thanks so much for the great fix!!
Thank you so much!! I just realized my backing is 6 inches too short. You solved my problem with an easy fix. I learned something today!
Thank you so much!!! Exactly the info needed to complete the quilting.
Thank you for this video. It was a time saver.I had no clue on how to fix the backing
I just got my Q21 and QCT Pro 5. I so appreciate your thoughtfullness and thoroughness in these videos.
If I have an earlier version of the software, will most of these instructions still apply. I have had my quilt path for several years.
When making the Big Dream Pattern this would have been useful to know. I thank you for taking the time making this video, it is an AH HA moment for me! Virtual (((((((Hugs!)))))))
Is this the Grace Beginings software? 😊
i needed this also. i have loaded a ton of patterns. so now its too crowded to read. i willcreate some folders thank you!!
Thank you. I got stuck after the first zone and my anxiety was through the roof. I watched your video and it was short, concise, and easy to remember. I’m definitely going to use it by my side as I do zone 2.
you are great.
when it says it is out of the safe zone and screen is pink, how do I get it to be in the safe zone? I see where you click on the pointer icon and can move it, but I cannot do that on my tablet. No matter how I try to resize the pattern, it more often than not says I am not in the safe zone and I am having trouble moving from row 2 to row 3.
This is a fantastic tutorial, Thank you!
Thank you, I’ve been wanting to find a way to sort mine. This is probably the best solution for sorting. It is hard to show people patterns when they are all jumbled together, so I really appreciate this.
Thank you for this tip. It's great
Great tip! Thank you.
I wish I would have seen this a couple months ago! What an easy way to fix an extremely frustrating problem. THANK YOU!!
Excellent!!!
Donna, I absolutely love you. I had this happen to me several months ago, after crying my eyes out I knew I had to do something. I cut the extra from the side and hand stitched it on. WHY, WHY, WHY did I not think of that. You are brilliant.
Thank you.
I've just had my machine, frame and the QCT software about 2 weeks and I've played with it enough to convince myself I "Can't do this". I've just watched all 3 of your Beginning videos and I feel confident again. I'm going to go back out there and DO THIS! Don't stop making videos please!
Glad the videos are helpful! Janet George has more videos for beginnings, so, you may want to search for hers too.
Love, love your videos! Thanks! Have a question about QCT. Have you used or do you know if you can use a finger mouse when using eclipse in QCT Gold? I watched a video of a quilter using a software program called Quilter Path in Gold, this program is almost exactly like QCT5 Gold. In the video she attached a finger mouse to the handle of her long arm, she covered up the laser on the finger mouse with a small piece of blue tape. She than pressed the add button on the tablet in the eclipse setting once , after that initial click on the tablet she was able to just click the finger mouse button as she went around the area she was eclipsing. She than moved her machine to the next area she was eclipsing and again pressed the add button on the tablet once and again was able to click the button on the finger mouse instead of needing to touch the tablet each time as she proceeded to go around that 2nd design/ appliqué . This was appeared incredibly faster than touching the tablets add button with each move around your design/ appliqué I was trying to find out if this works before buying a finger mouse. Also if you can please do a video showing how it’s done. Thanks
To reopen a saved design, click Resume Sewing Session at top right of screen. Not sure about your second question but it might be that you need to increase the number of patterns on that row.
Enjoying your videos, Donna.!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for taking the time to make it. It was just what I needed.
When setting the safe zone area and you refer to setting it an inch to the left and an inch to the right- the measure to the left- does this mean I am measuring that inch off the quilt? Also, when using the ruler to measure the quilt size, is it the actual quilt size or the area where the pantograph will be quilted? If it is the actual quilt size , my quilt will be bigger than my frame ( I have a QZone Hoop Frame) so I will not be able to move the machine from end to end. So do I just type in the actual measurement of the quilt instead of moving the machine? Thank you
When measuring left to right for safe areA, you are off of the top but still on backing. The ruler only measures the left to right quilt size. This is considered the Width in QCT. You must manually enter the length..
When using power panto quilting is your stitch regulator on or off?
Part one
Part 2...
Thank you
