I’m about to expose myself: I like toxic people too, but here’s like really why... He’s smart and cunning and ambitious which is obviously attractive, but he lacks a perspective larger than himself so I can still feel emotionally superior to him. I want to mean so much to someone that I can contradict the tendencies of their personality disorder. Like he can torture people physically, but I’m mentally torturing him in the long term by keeping him in a state of cognitive dissonance. I really want the emotional power to consciously manipulate a manipulator. I also really want to compete with him as to how much one of us can hurt the other. Abuse is a cycle that’s very comfortable - and the opportunity to feel like I’ve reclaimed my power and gained control in a toxic relationship like that is so alluring. So to summarize, I’m a little narcissistic, very insecure, and very VERY self destructive. @Say Yes To Heaven great video! Also I’m going to therapy y’all hope I’ll get better :)
