@@simshill295 when a group decides to separate and divide themselves apart from Americans with a different national anthem, for ridiculous reasons, then yes a rude wakeup call is needed.

Francis Scott Keys was slave holder, his family were slaveholders, one of his children was a slaveholder. When he wrote the Star Spangled Banner in 1814 …the War of 1812 … the Battle of Baltimore, a days-long siege between British and American forces. The Star-Spangled Banner,” defended slavery and attacked the abolitionist movement. Though I am an American 🇺🇸 I do not think much of the author of the Star Spangled Banner or the fact of it being this national anthem. Our national anthem exists because of a cartoon! America didn’t have a national anthem until 1931-and it could have taken longer if not for a cartoon. . The actual Star-Spangled Banner was hidden away during WWII. Never considered the hate against Black Folks national anthem however, I felt it as I watched the performance seeing people doing whatever. Ms Day knows the Star Spangled Banner however, February is Black History Month and there was nothing wrong with singing it. Too much hate against Black things.
