RIU Palace Las Americas

The room was a French Balcony cabin.

Yes to all 3, they do have premium liquors. The inside bar may have more premium than the outside. Some of the drinks we ordered took longer with the servers having to go inside. They were still very quick! The servers definitely take orders at all the pools on property and the beach too!

Epic Norwegian SUCKS. Out of 5 different cruise lines and 20 cruises the Epic is the worst. No class, unprofessional employees, drunken teenagers running around, overpriced, old shitty room e balcony. Terrible

All the excursions we went on were done through Viking. If the excursions is no longer, it is probably sold out. That happened to us when we first looked. We checked every other day what was available. After about a week Castle Neuschwanstein showed back up and we booked it immediately.

Hope you have alot of fun! We enjoyed the Epic for the most of it. Spice H2O was fun and had great views when we went up in the evening. It just can get very crowded and the bar very busy

The resort does indeed have umbrellas set up on the beach.

The flight to the castle is about an hour and a half. That is where the expensive part of this excursion comes into play, the fun little cessna flight. The flight, atleast for us was really fun, fantastic scenery!!! The excursions is absolutely worth it, even if you're not the best flyer.

Walked down the beach as far as we could. Had to climb over a few rocks.

Palace Las Americas is practically in the heart of the bar zone party central. There is a mall right across from the resort. For a measure of distance, I would say about 2 blocks, it felt like it was right around the corner. According to Google, a 12 minute walk.

Everything was booked through Viking, either before the excursions or while on the cruise. I definitely recommend booking some of the excursions before you go.

It was around $1,500 per person

We found it very easy booking through Viking. The only headache is for some of the paid excursions, if sold out they disappear and will reappear if someone cancels their excursions. Happened the first time we tried booking the castle. It disappeared and a few days later showed back and we booked immediately. Hope this helps. I would say it was just luck. Did not request a certain room or level, just went with what the resort gave us. Wish we did get a room facing the ocean. The room we had faced the theater so all the nightly entertainment music flowed into our room. Nice room but did not help if you wanted to get some rest before 1130ish lol

Tipping isn't expected at the resorts. But we have tipped maid service $5 dollars every day we were there. Whenever we went to a restaurant, $10. $20 on the first day your there if you would like really fast service by the pool drink waiters. Our guy got us drinks in a flash!

Yep, adults only. No smoking inside. However the theater section is open air, but I didn't see anyone smoking there though. It was loud yes every night we were there, however, that also may be due to the position of the room. My wife and I stayed in a room directly across from the theater. I wasn't to bad with the sliding door closed but we like to sleep with the sliding patio door open to hear the ocean. The music and loud guest didn't seem to calm down until sometime around 1:30a to 2a. That is what you get the adults only resorts though. If there is anything else you would like to know, please ask away!

The ocean view junior suite since that is the only kind of suite I have stayed in at that resort.

Thanks for watching. No, this resort is a few miles down the road from Coco Bongo. There are two Riu resorts near Coco Bongo though. Palace Las Americas and Riu Cancun. Both of the those resorts are around the corner from Coco Bongo.

Our overall experience on Viking River Cruise was amazing! My wife and I plan to do another Viking Cruise again. The tours we had were great and very informative, the tour guides we had were amazing! The lunch and dinners onboard were delicious. Breakfasts was nice, those were the same everyday, not really geared to the different countries we were in everyday. That is what my wife and I loved about the lunch and dinners, always different if you chose from the regional menu, and we love to venture and try new and different foods. The rooms we felt were very nice, but small, a bit smaller than your cruise ship. The staff and Captain on board was amazing and so nice! Most of the tours we did were the included tours, there are tours that you can pay extra for, we did one of those, or you can just stay on the boat all day. Some passengers did not even go on tours but went out to venture on their own. We absolutely loved the tours we were on. If there is anything else you would like to know, just ask away!

Yes, was on the Danube. However, this video is just about showing the viking ship and guest room since practically all Viking River ships are identical in design.

When there, hopefully it has changed now, the hotel was running at 50% capacity for guests due to covid. So it wasn't as crowded as I have been use to in the past before I stared vlogging. When the capacity returns to 100% I would like to go back to Riu Palace Peninsula and make an updated vlog. From what I observed, many guests sleep in and don't get out to the pool until around 10a. Many go down, put their stuff on a few chairs and go back to bed.

That Riu resort is called Riu Caribe. Yes, you can use the other resort pools and eat at the other restaurants and buffets. That is the nice thing about Riu hotel chain in Cancun. And there are a couple of them in the resort zone. I don't believe the beds are extra. My wife and I used them and weren't told anything about paying extra or reserving them. They are popular so you just have to get down the beach early morning to use them.

You do not pay for any chairs its all included also your wristband gets you into the next door riu and also the two others that are in town very handy for your lunch and of course free drinks hoe this helps .

It was all part of a package through Amstar DMC, the company partners with the hotels in Cancun to shuttle guests to their resorts and tours around Mexico. The booking agents are typically wearing Hawaiian shirts and sitting in the hotel lobbys to help guests out.

It is indeed a huge resort. The biggest one my wife and I have stayed at so far. The beach is one of the best features of this resort that we enjoyed. Early morning walks on the beach are so enjoyable here.
