@theoldfellaDigwell well, that was a potential danger, that's why i wear a face - shield (mesh visor) always when working with the chain saw - saved my eyes many times. Stay safe out there !

@ Just take it easy. Learning new things takes time.

Remember when we were building the competition engines and we wanted to show a little more power on the dyno sheet we would give it a splash of AV gas 105 octane or there about I think. you up in the fjords then.

Hi there thanks for reply I was all vintage Huskies ,but Wono chenals plodding 070 moved me over a brand ,now building 070 090 's living quarters full its an OCD dream.

​@theoldfellaDigwellproper beasts! I love my stihl 028av aswell , real strong for what it is. Vintage saws are different breed , new cheap made crap i just use so i do not have to mind if they blow up on wilder spec builds.

@@KihwaWorkshop Pushing the envelope or what, had 25 years of building and increasing airflow on engines, for factory and public ,many household names. retired know but nice to see others trying to squeeze that extra bit of torque.

Had to work on it a bit, New Barrel Piston few other bits changed it to electronic oriental ignition Actually came from Germany, you probably have seen seller ,had a Contra on but was beaten to it whilst I was trying to lever funds out of Mrs Digwell.

​@theoldfellaDigwell very interesting reading! Only downside with these old machines is parts availability. Have one pretty mint solo 615 engine itself works great but oil pump that is built into clutch cover plastic gears are wrecked. Hardly seen any parts for it even on german sites. Some are on ebay but not what needed. Probably could find some similar gears that do not vanish in bar oil nevertheless
