Hey man. I just did the same exact thing to kaiju ext. It doesnt come with the og bumper, i bought it after the fact..broke it in 15 minutes..i bought the same material, bent it the same way..youre right, bolt patterning was a bit trickey. But you paved the way for this durablity upgrade and its much more forgiving now. Thanks!!

I never thought there was such a thing as over-modding an RC, now I know it exists lol. You basically turned that Kraton into an Outcast lmao.

Mine on 8s is more usable than that. Damn. Mine has a lot more weight though. M2C'd with upgraded aluminum everything except arms. Has ridiculous thick 17.5lb Nero springs up front with 3000 WT diff oil in the shocks. Stock rear springs, but with 1000cst 80wt with a dab of 2k diff oil. All shocks have M2C pistons and caps. EXB diffs: 1 million mixed with a quarter of 500k in the front, 100k with a dab of 500k in center, and 500k with dab of 1 mill at rear. It's surprisingly balanced like AWD. Turning could be better, but it's not near as flippy as this. Got a 4092 with Max 6. Has 1250kv. Was running the 1650kv 4092 on 8s with no issue.

I ended up with this same setup somehow for my Outcast 8s EXB(picked up two during the $400 sale). I have a hobbystar 56112 with 780kv and MAX5 G2. I even went with same gearing of 34t with 39t spur. This was my best guess for 8s, but I went with the 780kv to run 12s with 23t as well. I also want to speed run with 34t, but thats gonna wait until I shake down the build and pickup some foam tires.

Hope it wasnt a Lipo fire. 😬

man you probably aren't going to reply to this but I could sure use some help. I just got a rovan f5 and I can't for the life of me figure out what I need to install my 65mm long 1/5th servo. Servo box is too small and every 1/5th scale server I see is 65mm long.

It looks like you are running Rovan front shocks all around on your Outcast. Are they close to the stock shock measurements, eye to eye? That’s a beast setup.

Lol hmm think that skeeter if that is truck kaiju landed on, is probably the baddest factory built truck ive seen so far, but hands down the kaiju 1 and ext for the money cant really complain, and got both and honestly haven't broke anything yet of course 4s is plentiful power, think its to do with jumping these trucks 30ft in air and landing on flat ground probably is cause of breaks, but that is never mentioned loo

They sell the center brace now for $65, so it should solve that flex.

Nice kaiju’s. Redcat makes nice things with bad materials. Curious if anyone has tried using the Mojave front a-arms w/ the composite steering blocks. I’ll try installing tonight and post back results.I’ve broken three kaiju c-cup/hubs in under one month just tooling around without bashing. Over it
