Well they were kinda like the metaphorical flies buzzing around a dying Kiryu the entire game. Even in gameplay Ebina pretty much shruggs off most of their lame attacks

If you're under lvl 45, it's basically impossible, so just grin the yokohama dungeon and do any life links, and you'll be good.

i feel like bryce's *fight* was cool, but the actual story surrounding it was what made it so underwhelming

@@benadrylwarlock I think I just wanted it to be a little more over-the-top. Like maybe Bryce had a military prototype exo-suit he got in exchange for taking a country's nuclear waste. Or like a robot loader machine. Or a helicopter. Kiryu's final fight fits him perfectly. Ichiban's felt like it needed a little more "Dragon Quest" flair instead of just fighting a geriatric gangster with two uzis and his henchman.

They both are 180 degree opposite. Shishido wanted to rebuild yakuza while Ebina wanted to destroy it. So you can't say that Gaiden has a way better final boss, except for the how to battle.

i'd have to agree that the fight itself is kinda underwhelming. when you compare him with tendo as a turn-based final boss because tendo had consecutive turns, more attack options and a larger health pool. not to mention his "God's right hand" had me spamming peerless resolve. edit: lol i forgot tendo wasn't actually the final boss of y7 but it sure felt like it than the actual final boss.

Honestly Gaiden was when Kiryu last fought in the twilight of his prime against a monster like Shishido who clawed his way to his position from fighting in pits and Tendo was a heavyweight boxing champion whose prowess nearly made him a world champion and more than earned his dragon irezumi. Both are simply pure monsters in combat as their fights show. Ebina was a trained officer before joining the yakuza and was no slouch in a 5-1 fight, practically taking everyone out by the end except for Kiryu to finish. If this was Kiryu in his prime I’d estimate Ebina would have still given him a good fight, but perhaps not to the level as the other two would have.

To even add on, gaiden was an afterthought, they don’t add up much either which they could’ve done

Finish the yokohama dungeon it rakes in a bunch of cash and levels if you use the training gear on the party members you use

Complete as many side missions and dungeon battles as you can. Also don’t be afraid to fight all the NPC that comes your way. By the time I got to this mission every battle was a breeze

Use the Money Sucker skill from the Maid class and you will be ballin’ my friend

I like getting spoiled and also the final boss is kind of you know and do not take this seriously the fight is dog water

Don't worry about that, I already know from red venom corp, and eventhough the title doesn't say final boss, I can even figure it's the final boss battle, or at least close to the end of the game, just by looking through full cutscene

I still can’t believe they gave a side game (gaiden) the best final boss instead of (most likely) kiryu’s last final boss in a main game
