My wife and I saw the movie yesterday. Just an awesome job by everyone. The kids were fabulous. We loved every minute of it. It’s a great family movie I encourage everyone to see and to encourage your family and friends to see it.

You never seen the original film? It has Loretta Swift in it. 1983 it came out. My family loved it. I have it. One of my favorite movies to watch.

I was in the best Christmas pageant ever at my community theatre while doing the best Christmas pageant ever the cast mates where fun to do the production with and I loved doing the play with them and now I can brang and say I went to go see the play I was at in my community theatre days so thank you cast of the best Christmas pageant ever .

It’s a great story. I read it to my daughters every year when they were young. They are now in their mid-thirties and we saw the movie last night. Yup- I cried again. Don’t miss it!

I am planning to go see this movie but not until after Thanksgiving. When I was a teacher I would read this book to my students every year and then when I had my own children I would read it to them (now 16-29 years old) every year. After we finished the book we would watch the early 80's movie version with Loretta Swit as Grace. It is a short made for television movie. I think it was called an ABC after school special. Does anyone else remember this movie? It is really good movie too:)!!!

I don't trust this man. I won't watch the chosen because it's not biblically accurate. It depicts Jesus completely as weak and needing help writing the sermon on the mount. Something is really concerning about all of this attention for the chosen. I pray people will start truly reading the Bible and gain discernment.

Is this coming to dvd?? I really hope it is, this reminds me of A Christmas Story with the way the movie is told, the time frame of the movie, just everything made this movie feel like a true Christmas movie. SO GOOD!!! I want this on DVD!!!

Hello, Everyone who participated in this fine prayer cast! Dallas, I have a story to share that illustrates a similar kind of transformation that tbe Herdmans had when they were exposed to the true message of the Gospel through a theatrical performance. When I and my siblings were growing up in a relatively small town we faced a lot of criticism from the people around us because we were poor. As a matter of fact, we were looked down on because many people considered us as "white trailer trash." We weren't bullies or bad-mannered but we were picked on because our family wasn't upper-middle class. We weren't athletic or on the honor roll or especially gifted in any way that made us attractive in the eyes of the other kids. To make matters worse, spiritually speaking, our mom got us into the New Age Movement when we were quite young. This confused us as to the true identity of Jesus Christ even though we went to church every Sunday. Mom told us that it was good to pray with people because it "raised good vibes." Well, besides being spiritually blind one of the worst problems we kids did have was the frequency of how much we fought with each other! It would drive our folks nuts! Then came the day that the oldest 4 of us went to see the movie Gopspell." As we watched the way the characters in the movie treated one another, along with the Jesus character being so winsome and kind, and with the gospel messages portrayed in the movie, we all fell in love with it. As a matter of fact, it impacted us so deeply that for the next few weeks all 5 of us kids got along amazingly well! We were on a Jesus High! Being musically inclined we bought both of the soundtrack albums and sang and danced our way through them over & over! Then our Summer stock theatre decided to perform Godspell for their first show of 1977. Again, the 4 oldest of we kids auditioned for the show and all wound up participating in it! That began a strong change in dieection for all 5 of us! God used it to create a special bond in our family that eventually lead every, single member of my immediate family to become born-again believers and we are all in ministry now! Thankfully, even both of our parents got saved before they died! At our Mama's funeral we created an all-sibling band where we performed a few numbers from Godspell, including one of her favorites, "All Good Gifts." I am telling you this to say that Jesus gives us our true identity and can turn around anybody's self-image, as happened to my family. There are Herdmans (lost souls) all over the world that will find themselves valued when they are loved by Jesus & His followers! Keep up the great work! I cannot WAIT to see this film & take others! Thank you for this prayer cast!

Has anyone interviewed the author of the book??/ It would be wonderful to know about HER life.. her reason for writing that...where she lived, who she was, because this is HER boo, her life, her perspective .her heart ,her writing.. Wish we had an interview with her she deserves this.. and could enlighten the meaning of the book from her writing it.

Thank you for this interview. The questions you ask and how they answer expands my mind. I watched Unsung Hero movie on the big screen multiple times, 7 time I think. Because I had to share it with different people. loved the encouraging story. For King & Country is my favorite band. But so much more than that, they are able to connect with their fans so well. We feel so loved when we’re around them. Can’t help to love them more. They gave us examples of how to live out and grow in our faith and I really appreciate that too. May God continue to bless your ministry and their ministry as you seek to point people to Him.
