Nice electronic part of your waterrocket! I think you can improve a lot when it comes to altitude. With a 0,5 litre PET bottle, you can easily reach 100m and above. You need to pump more than 10bar into the bottle. Always use returnable bottles (Mehrwegflaschen), they withstand up to 20bar (no guarantee though...)
Thank you for your advice! I will take them into account and also try this summer. 10 bar is quite a lot of pressure. Because I had planned this as a summer project for kids last year, I wanted to start at the lower level first.
