How to change fork oil in a Yamaha V Star 1300 Deluxe.
A video on how to change the fork oil on your Yamaha V Star Deluxe. Please note that I had some audio issues with my camera mount. I have been trying to filter out some of the noise with Audacity. Sorry. It's a work in progress and I did't notice the noise until I downloaded to the computer.

How to modify fork tube covers on your motorcycle.
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.4 года назад
This is short video on how I modified my upper fork covers to gain access to the lower bracket bolts. This will allow me to remove the forks easily when it comes time to regular maintenance, without taking apart the whole steering head just to remove the fork covers. This may work on many other motorcycles, not just a Yamaha V star 1300 Deluxe.
Looks Factory, Great job on the cut and Finish
Excellent video very well done
Hi man Do you think is safe to extended the fork by changing the caps with someones longer?
Thanks very much for your video, very well done, very detailed and comprehensive. Yamaha’s are great bikes and easy to work on. I have to do a fork service on my Road Star 1700 and feel confident to do so with the help of your video, much appreciated.
Hi there, your instruction is very thorough and complete. Thank you very much, Hi 5...
very good job on the video and audio and lighting. And thank you very much for not having childish graphics and sound effects and music playing in the background. More video makers ruin their videos with music. I won’t even watch a lot of them. I just click away as soon as I hear music.. very good job.. I actually learned something about that shielding covering the fork tubes on my Venture. I thought it was going to be a hassle to get that off. I didn’t realize it stays in position..Thanks
Thank you. Nice video.
the covers are ridiculous. i just crammed my fuckin allen wrench in and bent those fuckers, they bend like aluminum foil anyway. BUT..i was HOPING we were REMOVING those fuckers. I dont want em..at ALL. Are they necessary? Do I have to Cut them off???
Thank you for the great video.
It should have been this way from the factory. I did this mod on my 08 V Star 1300 three years before I saw your video.
nice work! thank you!
Those are slick bullet turn signals. Where did you find them?
They are factory
@@ryanmcmullen5285 oh cool. I’ve been looking for something just like that for my 1100 Silverado. Didn’t know they were standard on the 1300. Thanks also for the video- super helpful and well made!
good job
Nice video but you got lucky...for most of us, the lower pinch bolts are obstructed by the fork sleeve protector...thus you have to take the whole fairing and upper triple tree off to remove the fork sleeve OR use a Dremel to cut back the detent on the fly to expose the bolts....the rest is a piece of cake....but again very informative video
I did have to cut back the lower fork covers. I did make a video on how to do that as well. I really didnt want to. But I did anyways to make life easier.
Very informative and interesting !
