Man what a gorgeous build, well done. I'm looking to buy a 2024 Caledonia 5 and am finding stock is pretty low in the frame size I need (58). If I purchase online through someone like Mike's Bikes I have no say in how many headset spacers and what my final stem length should be. Suppose the best option is to have my LBS order it from Cervelo and work with them. I know it's an obvious point but do you have any other direction? Love the level of detail to your build, it's what makes your Cale 5 standout in a crowd.

I really like old steel frames. most people now prefers carbon or allu.

What size is that? Looks huge with that long head tube. Looks super comfortable with short chain stays to make it stiff laterally. Am I close? 🤔

Note the fork. It appears to have been pushed back, as in a front-ender. This is from the barrel distortion of the camera lens. I panicked the first time I noticed that one of my bikes appeared to have this problem in a photo. I ran down to the garage and saw that the bike was fine. It was only the distortion from the lens.

Yeah. The older steel required frame saver coating. Some Nivachrome tube has Vanadium in the alloy which prevents rusting. Powdercoating a brazed frame may be risky, as the cleaning and heat treatment to activate the epoxy resin is very close to the melting point of the braze. Then, you need a good 2K clear coat.

While I do like the powder coat very much that original paintjob was about as retro cool as it gets IMO. Its too bad it was in such a crusty condition. I would have also went with a front derailleur but that's just preference. The 1x setup is awesome too. Sick build btw.

Great job! A guy who quit riding because he thought he was too old gave me a Ritchey Logic Breakaway. It rides just as good as a regular non-breakaway Ritchey. I was pleasantly surprised. I used to own a bike shop and the build quality can make a big difference in how a bike rides. This was really well done. The only thing missing is the Butthole Surfers blasting on the sound system.

Looks nice! Great color, too! I just sold my Aspero frame and am looking for a replacement. I didn't like the high standover height or small tire clearance. And it was a bit harsh. It seems like they addressed most of those issues. Do you have these frames for sale?

Lovely build, your passion shines right on through :) T47 is a dream to work with indeed, large bearings makes for long life and easy maintenance. Looks like the industry is finally moving jointly to that in the gravel space. So much better for everyone running 30mm cranks!
