Last Kontiki Camp Before Xmas
Jase & his family squeezed in an overnight camp just before the weather turns bad. Two Kontiki sets and some rod fishing restocked the freezer for a little while.

It was used later as a stable so there are fixtures there still and of course the hayloft. Not baled hay in those days but loose which was thrown up into the double doors with a pitchfork, from the top of the haycart.. Love these types of stables. amazing double wall with clay to stop bullets.

thanks for a master class is bonito as good.
Bonito and other very oily baits are great, especially on gurnard. But you need to salt and bind them with bait elastic for the kontiki.

Hay bud, see you doing the cannon thing 👍. What capacity is your air chamber?, what psi do u go too? And what portable air compressor 12v? Unit do u use? And are u satisfied with it 🍻
Hey! I’m not sure the capacity but I go to 120psi and use a Nordic 18v air compressor. It has been a lot of trial and error tying different rig’s, some breaking and others working. I am now trying out a 6 hook drone rig with 7 meters of 150lb back-bone so will put up a video once it’s all going! Cheers

It's taken a lot to find a suitable trace that wouldn't break. Now I'm using about three feet of 100lb nylon as a two hook dropper rig. Fishbites for the bait because they don't come off the hooks easily. It caught a decent Gurnard and good for the Kahawai.
